yo all... i've been riding this bike for abt half a year... great bike... use it only mainly for work... didnt do any modification on it... but i actually met with an accident and had to fix a few broken parts. i managed to find a shop that can actually order in the parts for the bike, but its costly... name of shop is friendship over at alexandra rd. but seriously, only go to this shop if u really cant find other shop cos this shop suck blood(money). but so far to me, this bike is the best compare to other cub. upz to all having this bike! ride safe!

my friend riding katana 125, just bought less than 2 month. since recently raining, encounter engine die problem. wonder anyone have similiar problem and need advice on solution.

The spark plug got kena water? maybe due to rain the water gets to the plug...

Just got my Katana Manual Clutch for about 1500km.

 

Find the power somewhat lacking, and the 4 gears are not very evenly spaced.

I can get smooth power for 1-3 gear, but the switch to 4 gear drops power too much and feels sluggish.

 

My fuel consumption also crappy, travelling about avg 90km/h, and getting only about 120km the fuel indicator will start blinking its last bar. Have no clue how long the bar will last, so I will pump and its always around 3.3l of petrol.

 

Looks nice though.

 

Any bros have idea if can change gearbox to maybe a 6 speed??

Any kind soul can recommend a good workshop to service Katana 125cc?

 

I am hoping to visit an honest workshop to attempt several modifications to the bike, like changing sprocket, changing gearbox etc.

Yep. Quite dead.

Been wanting to find out how to save my katana too.

 

Have been asking if anyone knows what cog configuration to change to, cos i have pickup but no top speed. only 4 gears and cruising at 70km/h only. any higher speed can hear the engine straining.

guys... i usually do my baby at ah gua jb... two shops next to ahboy... the one with the hot lady boss(his wife)... not bad la the price... cos after conversion and all still dun feel the pain... and btw i think our engine gasket is similar to suzuki shogun... cos i saw them changing the gasket when i changed my clutch plate..

 

just have to be careful about the piston, conrod and clutch plate... dun buang gear when braking... use ur brakes... cos changing brakes is much cheaper than changing your block...

 

anyway about the engine dying when wet... caused when the carburettor is wet... not much of a problem la... so far i never approached this kind of problem...

 

ps: i need to overhaul my engine soon cause the previous owner ride bike like ride bicycle... like to buang gear... cb FBC plate summore... but overhaul will be about 450... RM so about $200 which is quite cheap...
