Morning to all.

 

Tot shld post a FR of last nite.

 

As usual, stay till the last set. But las nite was nt so enjoyable. Unable to get high, juz nt in the mood. Mayb too many changes already. New singer, the usual flower guy gone, and the usual GROs i know are also gone. Got disturbed by some housefly who are so daft that they can't read that i'm simply not interested. :gun: I went home completely sober for the first time.

 

FR

1) New Singer - Had high expectations of her. But she fell short of it. I dun noe is it an acclimatisation problem or wat. Can see she is very green and inexperienced. To put it simply, she lacks showmanship. Not being mean but being very honest. She is still a long way to becoming a flower magnet. Once she stand beside the rest of the singers, her presence diminishes to a whimper. Hopefully the rest of the singers can help her along. If she gets better with their help and her own hard work, it will only mean better income for her and better show for us. Hope the day comes soon. Maybe someone can buy her a LD or two when they are in the mood.

 

2) Change of flower seller - Not quite used to not seeing the ususal flower seller ard. Maybe I dun quite like things to change. Haha. At first glance, i tot Mimi has become a flower seller. But nope, it is actually her sister. Dun noe if i'm wrong but Mimi said the new gurl is her sister when i asked her. But Mimi did not sing much yesterday and was helping to sell flower. She's trying to show her sis the ropes of selling flowers i guess Prefer seeing her singing then selling flowers:cheeky:

 

3) Flower power - Very little flower at the beginning of the nite....until two gangs of big spenders came in. Throw 500, 100 like they are free.

As usual, the killer song is "Ruk ther mai mee wan yud". Same song performed thrice in one nite. First time by the newbie - only got 2 flowers. See liao also pity her. Second time by Tik - got ard $900 of flower

Third time by bebe and Tik together - Tik got $500 and bebe got $700. Not counting the ever flowing $100 flower banners for other songs. The big spenders really saved the nite for the singers.

 

4) Scuffle - There was a scuffle at icon late into the nite. In the end all is resolved but not without the intervention of the waiters, the band members and of course the lovely singers. Dun exactly know wat happened cos i dun like to KPO too much. Come out and enjoy one, so it is very sad to see such things. With the singers ard, any bull fighter's raging temper can be soother.

Yeah the girl you mentioned is Mimi's younger sister, named Mini... hmmm... sounds like Mario & Mini Mario~ She used to work as GRO for less than a week, a very friendly girl, still remember me shooting her the first LD & Mimi teaches her how things work in TD...

 

Yet Mimi had worried for her ability to attract LD & socialise since she is new in TD line, and the competetion is fierce. As you have experienced last night about the GRO trying to get LD from you even you show no interest to them, cannot blame them too harsh for hardworking The quota they have to make & the money they have to earn, makes the GRO to be the dare-devil & a bit of the thick skin, in which IMO Mini is lacking... Lets hope she will be better in the field of flower specialist

 

Oh my~ I am sure the new Singer Amy doesn't give you any kick~ lets it be the Prata for you & Pizza for the others, AKA hope other may like her performance She has got a pool of regular customers way back in Central Mall, may be the regulars have not get the news...yet. If she is performing at Icon even there is already Bond & City Catz, we may have guess there are some reasons why she is there. In the meanwhile let see how things go for her.

Ok. So it is confirm that the new flower gurl's mimi sis. A friendly gurl in the fine tradition of Mimi. Mimi's one amazing person i must say. Even though my conversation wif her is a really short one yesterday, one can't help but feel her approachability. She juz makes u wanna be nice to her, right? This area, she beats MFS hands down. If i knew her before Tik, she'll definitely get my vote for MFS.

 

Frankly speaking, i do understand for the GROs to earn their daily quota. But they shld find someone who is interested. It is quite hard to say no to them directly and not to appear to be a little insensitive. I dun mean to be nasty since we are all trying to make a living. But it gets a little touchy when u feel like they are leeching at ur table. I guess I shld learn to live with the not so nice aspect of a TD.

 

As for the new singer, I really dun think she can survive in icon with her current performances. If the current batch of singers go home or to other places and the new batch are all like this, i think there may not be enough pull factor for the place. But anyhow, we still need to give the new gurl some time and chances for her to play catch up with the incumbents. The bar has been set pretty high by the current bunch.

 

I love bond and esp Tik a lot. But i love the city cats too. The place will not be the same without any of them. They are the only reason i'm there.
