My bike goes, according to my meter, 235 km with half-a-litre left in the tank. Pumped almost to the top of the tank while on side-stand.

 

Please note that gear-ratios and state-of-tune will affect consumption too. My engine is unmodified(no PCIII, standard exhaust I think) with 16-tooth front sprocket and non-standard 42-tooth rear sprocket.

 

This means that my meter will give kph and mileage readings higher than actual.

 

To be safe, especially if you enter M'sia frequently, test your mileage in S'pore with a spare supply of fuel, in case you run out of it. I tested by pumping to the same tank level, same petrol station, same pump, same time of the day, same weather conditions. But that's me:P.

 

Though I wouldn't recommend running till empty due to air cavitation(airlock), my sp1 was able to start easily after running out of petrol twice before.

 

I wouldn't want to run out of petrol on the NSH - though that also happened to me once before:lol:.

your bike was able to so called restart easily because it runs on petrol,

 

airlock only occurs in diesel engine. Maybe pushing my bike to bike shop to check it out.

It's good if it doesn't happen on our bikes. I read that airlock might occur in fuel-injected petrol cars too, and so was concerned about it happening in the fuel supply line to the fuel pump, especially if there's an inverted 'U' in the line.

 

My bike's mileage is 42k km. And therefore can't help you much in this. But I have loads of info on the SP1 and SP2 - manuals, pics, tests, etc. - collated from a few riders(Haresh, Andy, myself) from this forum. I can pass you a CD if you need it.

thanks, yes i think he realli seldom ride now on the 2nd full tank becomes 168km compare to the 1st time 160 fuel low light illuminate, riding style is the same, will let my mechanic check it out.

best is changed your air filter, engine oil/filter & spark plug...get pc3..as wzout that its running rich....

i bought mine 2000 model at S$5k.. this july just renewed coe ard S$1k.. spent ard S$1.8k on my exhaust.. lol.. total spent ard 8k.. but still no regrets over taking this bike.. took me to melacca and hatyai this yr and going strong..
