Bros..need sum advise..My bike do get v.hot super fast..a couples of time, the bike would suddenly dies off(tis always happens during the Custom jam)

Firstly the RPM during idleing would increase, then after a few mins, the bike dies off..

Wat seems to be the problem?Or is it normal?

Btw,i've change the coolant in jan while full svcing in Guan Hoe..

Wat is actually piston svcing(wat wil the mech do)?how much does it cost?

Thx alot for the incoming replies!!!:)

brudder your overtemp got light up? Normally before the bike overheat, the fan will turn on to cool down the bike, unless your fan is not working. But I'm not so sure if the engine will be cut off when the overtemp is light up.

Probably get your fan check out first to see its working.

I have never heard of piston servicing, could be polishing the block and changing the piston ring.

Recently i dun really trust GH. But i think its better than u change ur fan to a manual 1.Or maybe u really need to flush ur radiator n back coolant ?

If so best is to use RedLine waterwetter, seen alot of good comment on this. I dun mind sharing wif u if u wanna flush ur coolant. :cheeky:

My bike is also heating up quite fast lately, time to flush and change coolant as well.

Going to switch back to water wetter, been using it when I am riding gsxr750. Currently I'm using castrol premixed from BP, change 9mths ago on my Bandit. I think racewerk, MotorX and bikelabs sells the waterwetter.

The warning light does not lite up at all lah..he he...and the fan is working too..the bike will jus die offwhen its too hot.

How much does the waterwetter cost?

is there any way for me to set the fan to be auto on everytime when the engine is running?Any side effect on the above mentioned?eg.draing the Battery while in stationary for a long duration(jam)?

The Redline waterwetter cost $28 good enough to treat 18L of distilled water, which means can be shared among 9 bandits which only requires 2L each.

You can wire a on/off switch to turn on the fan when stop by traffic light instead to wait for it to automatically turn on. I dont think it will drain the battery, just remember to off it when the bike starts moving.

Your carb is set to lean, did you do anything carb cleaning and tuning lately?? Try to bring up your idling to 1300rpm and try again, because bandit idling is 1300rpm might be same for gsxr400.

Lean might be cause by leak, check the carb boots which connects the carb to the engine. Check by spraying carb cleaner ard that area when engine is running to see if the engine die.

Lean might be cause by dirty or clogged up pilot jet or incorrect pilot jet size or incorrect adjustment on the air/fuel mixture screw.

Tested my spare CDI, try cranking the bike 10 times it also wont start. Confirm the CDI fail is not due to capacitors. Might be the transistor or the Kokusan chip, the former might be repairable if its the later can junk the CDI.:giddy:

Bandit is using YTX-9BS, currently I'm using the Yuasa maintenance free batt no hassle to check the battery water.

Why not you start the ball rolling to see who wans to share the waterwetter then we can start a DIY for radiator flushing and coolant change.

haha okie.. hmm dun mind if really got this tiu i join u all ? keke.

Okie. DIY flushing ur coolant system wif redline waterwetter ( hightly recommended ) 1 bottle cost $28. Best is more pple share so wont be tat expensive for tat bottle . 1L of waterwetter can serve up 2 18L of distilled water.Like wad S750WP say, can serve up to 9 bikes which need 2 L which.Flushing at motordiam da rate is abt 40+... somemore if u'r alone u'r going to pay for 1 bottle price n place it at home till next changing..which is i think 1 or 2 yrs later. So no point geting 1 bottle urself. Lets share 1 bottle n DIY for flushing.
