Hi, for my bandit, i feed it with Motul 5100. Nothing to comment on this oil cause it is by far the only 4T i have tried hence no camparison.

So far, i'm using Sikolence semi-syn after so much change. Feel tat is much smoother than other brands. This is my personnel view.

now using maxum extra 15W50 (from maxima). previously i think was royal purple (not sure what viscosity ratings, coz was from before i owned the bike). compared to previous, this one feels "slower" or "heavier".. probably becoz it's a 50.

anyway i'm okay with this one. not very much different from the previous. the slowness or heaviness is very slight. might be psychological.

(btw i have 3 x 1 litre bottles of maxum extra (or ultra? the less expensive one) 15W50 to sell.. if anyone's interested)

Hello S750WP

U selling your S4 already? Saw it in the classifieds. I upz for u here.

Are u the potential buyer of kata's bandit then? Hmm..., just wondering.

My wife just change job, she wont be using the car anymore, and it will be a waste of $$ without using it. So I'm selling the bike and driving to work instead.

No lah I'm not the buyer.

Datsunking n S750WP. haha...

I have tried to repair a spoilt CDI contribute by a ex bandit400 rider without success. It depends what is spoilt, if its the microprocessor/chip than its unrepairable, but if its the capacitors or transistor there may be hope.

But then no harm spending a few $ to see if its repairable than forking out $400++ for a brand new one.

The US bandit forum website has rumour, jump starting the bike will cause the CDI to 'blow'. Believe it or not, its up to you.

Ultra is the more expensive one. How much for those 3 bottles?

I tried quite a few brands... last time use castrol RS or esso gold... Then switch to other cheaper brands... But now i just tried Royal Purple... So far the best... Last time i max max 180 or 170km/h max liao... After change can hit 190km/h... Not totally sure if it's the switch of brand which the increased power...

i got them at about $17/bottle (i think) that time during the promotion, and i'm asking for that much, coz i'm not selling for profit or anything. just that i stocked up when it was cheap in case i wanted to use it (and i don't mind using it, i think it's one of the "good enough" oils).

PM me or something, if you want. i live hougang area, study at clementi.

Hi Fellow Banditos

My bike has suffered from a loss of power compared with previous times. It's still running but it sounds like one of the carbs is flooded with petrol. Any suggestions on what I should do with it? Will it cause any long term damage to the engine if I continue riding it? The fuel consumption is unusually high now.

I suspect one of the sparkies is not firing causing the flood in one of the carbs. However I do not the sparkies tool so that is why I cannot replace the sparkies yet. I guess I will probably bring in my bike to the mechanic on the weekend. Anyway it is due for its maintenance. Any advice, banditos?

Regards

hey think u can try running ur engine for a while den see if all four headers are hot? if one is cold while the rest is hot means one sparkplug failed.

sw750p> this is what u told me the other time right?

If you suspect one of the carb is flooded, it could be dirt trap in the needle valve on the float asembly, take out the carb and give it a thorough clean. And check for sign of wears on the needle valve.

I have a spare float assembly with needle valve for sale if you need to replace your, KS sells for $40 ea in a set of 4 and they dont sell 1 only.

Can go motor shop to see if they can tension the spring, if not replacing the spring doesn't cost too much
