got technique one. dunno how to say. at 1st also very difficult to put up main stand, thought its becos im light but after trying a few ways find out its the way i pull.

cant extactly remember but something like step hard on the stand and pull up hard. must try a few position to get the correct place for me.

anyone notice the rear tyre is quite high after putting on main stand? i think its the way its design. i notice that there is a high point which you must pull past that point then the bike will drop into position.

I just realised something.

Do I pull up the bike/pull it back? Where to grip the bike to pull it up/back? The CB750 though heavier but was easier to put it on main stand.

Happened to do some DIY today, and guess what?

Taken the spark plugs out to clean and check if it too lean (cos the engine has been terribly hot while riding for the past months and recently I had just changed to a knn air filter). Was going to put back the 4th spark plug when i happened to really notice the rating and guess what? my mechanic had put in a bandit400's spark plug (CR8EK) when mine is suppose to be using a cooler one CR9EK. checked the other 3 plugs and confirmed so.

No wonder it has been giving out so much heat (till the point where I got to ride open leg on high speed) and I thought its my oil cooler giving me problems (as quite a number of fins are bent/crushed). End up the 2nd hand oil cooler I had bought might be a waste of $. I would need to modify the fitting as its from a diff model.

 I had given specifically on the rating and bikeshop just assume the 8EK can also be used. Dont have tell me lah, made me go a big round for nothing.

PS: Not Guan Hoe, cos I dont need to go agent just to change spark plug. I let the bikeshop change cos I wanted to use their compressed air to blow out the debris collected in the hole. End up I forgotten to use the compressed air, paid more (labour cost) and wrong plugs costing more $ spent!

   Going to call the bikeshop on Monday to scold the uncle.

So guys, even if its your trusted mechanics still got to check now and then. Sorry to say so, but Guan Hoe too, as I had experience problems with them too. Nuts not tightened properly etc....

I just realised something.

I have my fair share of trouble too. I took out my rear brake to check the squeaky noise that's coming from the rear wheel. Found one of the dust seal is partially out and jammed one of the piston. No choice take off the caliper and split it into halves and pop out the piston with CDA at my co., and got all the parts clean out. Gona spent $$ again to replace the dust cover and the brake oil seal.

Also while flushing the radiator, I took out the radiator and found the previous owner had mend it before with silicon. Hopefully it will not leaked. The coolant reservoir was basically full of sh*t inside, had to flush many many times to fully get rid of it. after that I put in new coolant.

I have also removed my exhaust to sand off the rust and spray with high temp spray paint, now they are looking like brand new. Polished up all the chrome part, wheels, change my engine oil and oil filter.

After all the cleaning and servicing, I went for a spin, the bikes tacho hangs again and the gear shifting become stiff again when the engine is hot. Damm it must be something I meddle with while removing the parts for cleaning and servicing as it was running well previously after I clean the carbs.

Is it alright if I ignore the fuel tank water drain hose, as its too short and it was not connected when I first got the bike.

Mine was missing when i first got the bike. so far no problem for me.

btw, when i open throttle from idling 1.1k to below 1.5k, the acceration and response is very very slow. Any one has any idea? cos it is kind of dangerous especially when im making right turn. my bike moves very slowly across the junction before it picks up.

ya hor, forget to drain out carb, maybe got water :cheeky: got those 'bor bor bor' sound before it response

no water inside.

beside my bandit600 got drain/weep holes under the exhaust for water in the plug hole to drain out. i tested before by purposely jetting the water directly into the hole when washing. can see the water leak out and bike can still start.

anyway, i always wonder y bandit400's plug cap is 1 piece type while 600 & 1200 plug cap got lobangs one. raining never kenna water inside meh. after got my manual then noe got weep hole..Orrr.....

Okie, high time mate. I can lend u and s750wp the carb tune kit but better go for a full carb clean.

Talking abt guan hoe, good trusted hands but they do make mistakes lah. had minor incidents with them but for the decent service and attention i receive and peace of mind, forgivable since they will also rectify the fault soon after

I got my tacho hang solve once again, turn out I forgot to put back the breather hose from engine to airbox which is causing the lean condition, after I remove the coolant reserve tank for flushing.
