I found this shop to recon my radiator, its at UBI, the shop name is called URS radiator service.

They are asking for $150 for the job. They will use back the old radiator frame, and weld new coolant passage with the fins.

Congrats! now we know where we can go to repair our radiator if it leak..hehe..btw u tried using the sealant the second time?

BTW u looking for gasket sealant? is it those high temperature sealant or those called gasket maker?i got mine (red colour) from jusco in malaysia...can try there...

Nope I didn;t use the 'Stop Leak' product again as I'm worried it may clog up other things in the cooling system, e.g. thermostat, water pump etc.

I'm looking for the high temp RTV sealant, orange type., not liquid gasket.

Notice it quite a common sight for bandit 400 radiator to leak, because while I was at the radiator repair shop saw a few bandit radiators there.

That guy has a lousy way of dealing. First he starts off by selling a certain item at a price. Even after someone has confirmed the sale, he can sms me saying that if i up my bid, , the item is mine. Wat ethics man. Or rather, in his own words, "my concept". Hope this shall serve as a warning to any body who wishes to deal with him. I hav kept a log of the smses exchanged for you guys to make yr own judgement. Cheers

Finally I did my valve clearance, I adjusted all to the mid range except for cyl 3 intake which is in spec.

For you guys/gals info, bandit 400 P model clearance is as follow

Intake 0.005"-0.007"

Exhaust 0.008"-0.010"

Total cost is only $6.50 for the Anabond high temp RTV sealant(grey) which I got from a bike shop, I reuse all the gasket (I was very carefully knocking the cover gently with a soft mallet to open up the valve cover and signal generator cover).

In the process of taking off parts I also clean my thermostat, it turns from rusty to shiny. The rubber gasket on the thermostat was quite bad, which leaks after assemble, so I put the Anabond silicon all around and that stop the leak.

Disassemble and clean my front brake master cylinder cause its choke and change the front brake caliper piston and seals ($39 because I couldn't get similar parts from honda).

When I assemble back everything its turns out fine, no leak and nothing abnormal. I check if my water pump is working after the bike is heated up and the thermostat is opened and I can see the new coolant swirling inside so thats good. My new recon radiator is also working fine, looking like brand new.

Like to ask you guys when you off the bike engine, engage in first or any gear other than neutral. Then when you clutch in and push the bike, is it difficult pushing cause mine is and I wonder has it got something related to my gear difficult in shifting down?

But when the engine is running, clutch in with the gears engage its very easy to push the bike around.

I have open up the front sprocket cover and clean up all the grimes built up and spray plenty of WD40 on the clutch mechanism but it doesn't help much. Also if you have open up your front sprocket cover did you notice there is a metal rod on the clutch mechanism it can be pulled out, wonder if its normal?

For clutch plate alone is $85, clutch plate plus steel plate $135, gasket is $8. Parts quote from KS.

I called guan hoe and they advise to change the clutch hub sleeve when changing clutch plate, not sure about the cost of this one, but a complete overhaul is going to cost abt $200 not inclusive of workmanship.

Hopefully I only need to change the clutch plate, $85.
