Did you go to planet motorcycle at Ubi to install your gsxr750 suspension? How much is it huh? Did the motorshop grind cushion lever or do any modification to fit in the suspension. The gsxr750 suspension is quite heavy, there is one knob under the suspension for adjusting the rebound, I tried to remove the knob to gain more clearance but it was very tight, not sure if oil will leak out if I remove the knob.

I'm thinking if its cheap to install might as well let the shop do the work.

If only install belly pan at your dad's shop alone w/o spraying how much? currently my bike is painted with RJ london spray paint, I can spray the bellpan and windshield myself to 'tong' for a while till I got $$ then go shop to spray.

i cant remember, cos i change other thing like sprocket & chain at the same time. He did charge me labour, but i recall the price like quite ok.

I got the correct replacement shock so no modification is needed. He didnt grind anything but did tell me very difficult to put it in becos of the longer shock. kenna scold by him for giving him such good lobang :cheeky:

After put it is very high cos i in a hurry hence never go adjust lower, after early in the morning get him to sweat n adjust the suspension (& kenna scold again :cheeky: ), I adjust back to high level again cos I like the high high feeling like scrambler  (I dont dare to tell him that :cheeky: )

I just realised something.

Read from the US bandit forum, the 92-95 gsxr750 will fit straight in the bandit400, but one 'Ang Mor' said he grind the cushion lever to fit in though, wonder if its because his hands are big and he need more clearance for adjusting the rebound knob.

I do find the gsxr shock quite long too. I will try and see if I can install the shock myself next week if not then I go planet motorcycle to ask him to change the shock for me plus changing the steering cone.

Btw how did you adjust the spring preload, using the drift method or you have the tool for adjusting?

Kata, why don't you start a new thread for the MO? Kind of messy to put everything in one thread. I can make it sticky so that it won't be out of sight.

Suzuki Bandit400 Belly Pan

Fitment of belly pan(Workmanship) = $30

Fitment of belly pan(Workmanship) with unsprayed belly pan = $60

Fitment of belly pan(Workmanship) with sprayed belly pan = $120

Note: Bandit's belly pan need to cut abit for better fitment... Cos it's using super4's belly pan... So it's quite high.... No problem for humps.... The whole belly pan is slightly above the exhaust pipe....

Location of shop (SAM CHIU) Look for Vincent

Sorry the $30 bucks is just for the Belly Pan alone w/o installation right. Add $30 bucks for installation and $90 bucks for installation and paint.

That is the drift method. Just measure my 93 gsxr750 suspension, the centre hole to centre hole is 305mm which is exactly same as the bandit400 according to bandit forum in U.S. In other words the gsxr750 shock should fit in directly w/o modifciations at all.
