Hi bros..i tink my bike gotta prob lah..the bike can only go up to 120km/h..and the trottle feels very heavy..Wat seems to be the problem?currently the bike will go 100km/h at 6 rpm..kinda normal rite?but after 6 to 6.5rmp,it seems very heavy n wont go up tat easily..idleing has become inconsistence too..I also suspect tat my cooling fan is not working..how do i really confirm?when does the fan usually start?

As for my rear shocks,i was thinking of installing "dogbone" to increase the height coz my header would b scrapped when passing the 2 big hump after JB customs.I was quote $30 by First Motors in Ubi.The mech says tat its even possible to revalve the rear shocks too..provided the seal is not broken during dismantling..pls advise bros..thx a lot ..

Ps:take a look at a fully mod 1997 XJR1200 below..cool!!!

Nope I haven repair the CDI before, but I got the info to repair the CDI by replacing the 4 capacitors on the board.

Whether it successful or not it all depends if the capacitor is the fault. But if you confirmed its really the CDI problem then no harm trying to open up the CDI and try changing the capactior first.

Have you done your servicing already? 100km/h at 6000rpm is normal. Looks like you have a flat spot somewhere, carburetion perhaps.

Try follow the manual and check for loose wiring, or try to warm up the bike and leave it idle for about 10-20mins the fan should turn on if not then check the fan.

Installing a shorter dog bone will only raise the tail board, your pipe will still scrape the hump. I sill have my old shock. setting at #5, I haven scrape the hump yet, can sell you cheaply if your mech spolit your shock. Give us the field report how much and is it serviceable, I'm curious to know.

Its capable, but i would advice u to get a bigger cc bike if u forsee tht u will maintain 140kmph and above on NSh. After all, the fuel economy dipped extreemly if u maintain above 8k rpm. it deeped until as much as class two like ST11. And its not good for the bike.

Just my two cents.
