I got a few funny click sound coming form my B12 when I release the clutch while moving off. It was noticable at first then it got a little louder after a few weeks.

Did anyone had this experience before? I really can do with some good advise. I will like to check out more possibilities before I send it to the shop as I am not too keen to open up the gear box to see if anything is wrong.

I had done only 22k so far so gear wear is quite little, even the sproket and chain looks very good.

Thanks in advance.

Very likely your clutch relay is worn out. How old is your bike?

If your bike can only go up to 120 km/h you got serious problems. A well maintained Bandit can hit 200km/h on the meter...

I got this bike just reaching 3 years and had not ride it for the pass 1.5 years while I was overseas. Came back last month and took it out of the storage. That is when I got this clicking sound.

I am suspecting it came from some bearing inside the gear assembly. What is a clutch relay? This bike has got hydraulic clutch is that a possible cause?

Cool a B12 rider, seldom seen this bike on the road. I was wondering did you perform the general servicing e.g plugs, engine oil, oil filter, coolant, air filter, brake and clutch fluid after storing it for 1.5 years w/o riding?

Clutch relay is the bit that connects the clutch to the springs that are holding the plates. Its just outside the gearbox (same casing). Change mine before at GH... Same problem, press clutch will have the click sound

Brudder, with regarrds to changing the arm's bearing bushings, I see it all depends on the condition of your bearings, the other times when I change mine rear shock I only grease them. So far its been working fine on mine. I think the tell tale sign of the bearings failing is when you hear squeaking sound when the shock compress or rebound.

For the speedo/tacho bulb its not LEDs, its the normal bulb. Check with KS if you can refund them because it does not fit, or exchange for other things e.g oil filter if refund is not possible. I can help you to get the correct bulbs from Mah motorparts if you are unsure.

Try to get quote from another workshop, I have been reading good review on Planet Motorcycles in UBI, the boss is friendly and does not change parts unneccessary unless its spoilt.

Maybe the next time you go Planet motorcycle give Silver or Kata_Killer a ring, they are the regular there. Kata_killer change his clutch plate, clean and service carbs plus tow bike from workshop to his home only cost him $190.

I havent buy the spark plug cable yet, I think 1m is more than enough.

I got 4 bulbs for $5, try to get the clear one, because the color one wont fit. I tried before.

The bulbs are very small, length is abt 8mm, and it wedge type, meaning the end is flat.

Mah motorparts is located opp SLT, along Jalan Besar, just travel a little further from KS and turn in at Dunlop St, then make a left turn into the small lane. Look for Jefferey Mah the boss, very friendly and helpful.
