I have Zard slip ons my STR, carbon fibre sleeves wrapped around them.

They came with the bike, the sound without the db killers in is really too much as they are loud enough with them in.

The bike has a certificate from the LTA confirming their legality upon inspection, would'nt stand a chance to pass without the db killers fitted.

Good luck with the wait,,,,,it will be worth it.

I got the Matt Orange... The new cluster is indeed very nice...

Now it count down time.... tormenting...

Lets meet sometime soon so i can ogle at your bike..

Oh.. i heard a zard on the street... its freaking awesome...

the orange one really stands out! anyway maybe can arrange a short trip to jb with some other triumph lovers over here? id love to try out yur monster400 a lil.never had the chance to ride a v twin . anyway once u get striple i can ogle at yur intrument cluster!

btw if u really want the loudest sound , lowest weight n best power

u shud really go for the Zard 3into 1 full system ! its legal but u can remove the baffle n it will b crazy! youll lose a gd 8+ kg from the bike as well.:bouncefire:

i dun really like the low mounted ones even thou they will be the lightest and give most power. But I saw some pictures with them and the rear pegs removed and the looked really clean which is what I like. Wonder with the high mount slip on can we loose those pegs...

Trying my 400 is not a issue.. Just that is low in power :p

will be possibly selling my m400 in may or June to raise cash.. Hehe

Just came back from Phuket on the Street Triple 2 days ago with CMYRS. Clocked about 2,800km from GP Esso to GP Esso. This bike is reliable and it's fast. Just that wind blast is a killer at high speeds (above 160km/h). What an experience.

Nice pics mate....your bike looks really cool.

My wife is from Thailand and if I decided to go up to Phuket on my STR with a mate I would return to find that she had probably gone to Thailand also.....by plane.

I got a rack on mine, I do the shopping for the family on the bike.

The bike came with a top box on it.....oh the shame,,,it had to come off.

Thanks for the compliment! After coming back from this trip, I would very much want to have a Thai girlfriend/wife too. Good thing that I am still single! I find them less stuck-up and more attractive than local girls. But anyway, all these things are subjective. I know someone will definately come in and say otherwise ...

What rack did you have? Ventura rack?

Very nice pict! Was wondering if u added the additional wind deflector( add on to your current cowl) would it help more?

I would like to do a trip up genting when I get my triple

Hmm I don't think it'll help much unless you try to hide behind it. And I don't like to have too much things on my bike too. To install the extra wind screen, you need to drill holes into your fly screen (ouch!). Going to Genting is no problem man, considering that I brought mine to Phuket already  Maybe I will join you when the time comes.

Nice to see you proving the Street can hack longer trips :thumb:

You won't get any arguments here :)

You might want to consider the clip on wind deflector that Touratech do, aimed at big trailies but I can't see why it wouldn't work on any bike or even make a clamp on fly screen from a cheaper more readily available one, say a cut down super 4 one o_O

Vara is gone but back strain lingers on o_O

The rack is Givi, it came with the bike. It had a topbox on it.....why oh why the previous owner put a topbox on an STR,,,,really.

 so we share the same sentiments. Erm by any chance .. is your spouse from Thailand also? :p

I guess this trip proves that the rider, me, can make it, instead of the bike  The bike is as reliable as a Japanese so far. Just some small niggles but they have all been resolved.

Clip-on wind deflector? I see. Using sucker cups? Don't know whether it'll fly off. Anyway I think if I'm really into long distance riding, I better get a bike that's made for that. Been looking at the Moto Morinin Granpasso 1200. But don't think anyone sells it here.

Take a peek here: http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/2010-moto-morini-granpasso-1200-review-88834.html

I see. Hehe a box is a no-no for a bike like this. On normal days I carry a big orange backpack.

Will the Oxford bag move around much when u travelling at high speed and bummby roads??

I m considering the triumph OEM rear bag. What do u think of the truimph rear bags??

They are secured by 4 bungees on top and 2 bungess below and additional velcro can go under the seat. Mine didn't move. It's VERY secured. I rode over 200km/h at certain parts of the journey and over bumpy Thai roads. The bag held well!

Hmm I prefer getting a bag from a specialised bag manufacturer. I think the Triumph one is not as big as this Oxford (42L fully expanded).

how much are the Oxford bags comapred to Triumph ones?

Not sure about the Triumph side panniers. I got the Oxford tailpack for $190 at Motorworld.

Nope, she doesn't know a thing about Thailand either :argue::box::angel:

Most of the Oxford kit is good quality and value for the money. Might be worth checking the Triumph website or fleabay, I know they were about to do a new seasons sale.

It's meant to clamp onto the edge of an existing screen but I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work on the edge of your cowl. It's here Windscreen spoiler universal

Get a Tiger or an ST for longer trips :)

Wow it looks so easy to clip-on but look easy to fly off too  Can consider this. Thanks for sharing!

ACTUALLY the Street Triple can do long trips. But I prefer something more menacing and looks the part :D like the Moto Morini Granpasso 1200 or the Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX. But both are out of my reach :(
