I,m interested to know how many of the forum members here actually ride everyday, in the sun and the rain ?

Or are most members just dry bikers?

I ride my STR to work and back everyday, other than Sunday when its a trip to the shops for curry, beer and food for the family :thumb:

Me! Been through sun and rain and heavy flood in Thailand! And every time with rain gear and bike cover in a backpack unless I am very sure that I won't need them.

Cheers Bro.

I don't like riding in the rain but as needs must.

I see you kept your bike, good move mate. You'll only miss it once its gone.

I don't like it too. It sucks. But that's my primary transportation. I have another bike but I seldom ride that. Sometimes I get lazy and I just take a taxi instead.

I'm keeping the Street Triple in the interim of deciding whether to get a Speed Triple .. :p

Primary transport, that's the way to go. The only wheels we have ( family of 4 ), is my STR. It carries the weekly / daily shopping. Takes my ass to work and back 6 days / nights a week, rain or not. Can't get over the bike, its just so good. Reliability is no issue. Going to break my heart when I have to leave your sunny shores ( again ) and sell it. My adopted home is Thailand ( North East ), but getting the bike in there legally is such a hassle with totally over the top exspense ( I mean permanently and not for a month or so on Sing plates ).

STR in Thailand is, unlike the other sportsbikes which is way OTT expensive, its quite reasonably priced. check them out at Britbikes around the RCA vicinity.. and Wow is really WOW!!! :) u will know what i mean if u do visit their showroom... :p

Ohh.

Over 25K for a Street R, resonable?

Are we looking at the same price list?

http://www.britbike.co.th/product-th-656744-ตารางราคา+Triumph+2010.html?lang=en&headername=Price list

Sad thing is Triumph assembles some its bikes in Thailand too.

For this kind of money you can have a new house bulit ( just done that and it was less than 30K ), buy a new Toyota pick up ( if you would want to ).

Thailand has mad prices on bikes, although Kawasaki seem to have the most down to earth prices.

yes , 25k is reasonable in their country compared to the other superbikes prices which is way way higher... buying a new R1 there could also buy u a Honda civic 1.8A which in turn can almost buy a semi D house.. im living around the ladphao area so 800,000-900,000 Baht can get u these. at the moment only the Triumph Bonneville comes from Thailand but i understand the Triples might soon be CKD n assemble in the Thai factory , Kawasaki have quite a couple of bikes from Thailand too.. i feel the EN-6R is 1 hell of a bargain for a naked bike there.

Cheers

Thailand is a very expensive place to buy a nice bike in. I looked at a new R1 when I was at home in Korat in 2009 and it was about 800,000 :faint:!! I had earlier bought a low milage 3.0 Diesel Hilux Vigo ( Pre-runner 4 door ) for 550,000 baht.

So bought my wife a new Fino instead ( SG2000 ):thumb:

I find it difficult to be enthusiastic about owning an EN-6R, but you're right, its good value for money when you look at the prices of other bikes.

Are the full system Arrow low boy street legal in Sg?
