Mine is 1st hand bike & I did the hard run in.

Slow run-in the piston rings will not seal properly, the blow-by gasses will contaminate the oil with acids and other harmful combustion by-products. The opportunity to do a high rev run in is very small, probably the 1st 100 km of your Blade's engine life.

 

Raptor the engine guru should be able to shed more light.

Even while doing the high-rev run in, my way differs from MotoMan's way. I did not accelerate or decelerate rapidly. I did it slowly, achieving the yin and yang from the manual and MotoMan's way.
