It's official, Honda America has issued an extended warranty. Note, this is not a recall.

To ensure long-term satisfaction with your Honda, American Honda is providing a six-year warranty extension for the ACG (charging system) on 2004-2005 CBR1000RR. Please note that this warranty extension does not apply to any CBR1000rr that has had its electrical system modified, aftermarket electrical accessories installed, or accident damage.

Hope BS will follow suit and provide the same warranty extension

Otherwise more people will give up the blade:cry:

Well, good news, BS is in the process of registering the extension of warranty with LTA, it will be announced in their web site when soon.

PI bikes of course are not covered, but they can go back to their respective shops. The agent who brings in the PI bikes should be responsible for the extended warranty.

I hope to see Peter Petrelli back in Season 2. He is of course, the most powerful, if the creator doesn’t instill some form of weakness in his character, then the show will be over sooner no?

Found this in another forum.

Hi all.

I just got done talking with my Honda Rep.

normally he is extremely tight lipped about anything new.

but i was able to get some info from him.

i asked him

Q: are we going to see a new F4i or 599?

A: no not till 08.

Q: how about a replacement for the interceptor?

A: yes. there will be a new V4 bike for 08.

Q: will it finally be a 1000cc?

A: probably not. most likely something around 800cc

Q: i have heard that 2008 is going to be some sort of anniversy. is that true.

A: he said that honda is on a new 3 yr program.

year 1 was fixing warranty issues and supply chain issues. 2006

year 2 was introducing a new product in all catagorys 2007

year 3 is going to be introduction of new models. 2008

Q: will we see any new products this year or do we have to wait till the next dealer show in sept. 07

A: yes, nothing in the sport line. possible ATV(there has been a side by side in the works for a while), but there will be some sort of Shadow 1100 replacement. vt1100 production has ceased.

Q: will the 2008 V4 make me wanna trade my 07 VFR in?

A: shrugs sholders. and gives frown.

I didnt like that answer

Q: does honda read the major forums.

A: YES

this is for shure

there will be a radical new 2008 CBR1000RR (most likely with some sort of traction control) and selectable ECU maps like the new GSXR1000K7

there will be some sort of entry level 600cc, will there be 2? likely. a new CB600 Hornet. and CBR600F5i?

with the new 600RR up $500 they need a $8000-8500 more comfortable 600.

side by side should be out by then.

New V4 Bike.

could there be 2? a VFRxxx and CBR800RR V4 motogp replica?

------------------------------------

i really think honda along with everyone else, are loosing a lot of sales to the GSXR750.

with motoGP stateside now. it could mean that we may see a CBR800RR, ZX8, GSXR800, R8.

he did mention that there are other major things that honda is up against. such as EPA.

so that sounds like were going to see VTEC.

there will also be a day we see some sort of VCM on honda motorcycles. Honda already has a CBR1100XX Blackbird test mule with it.

im just glad there will be a new V4. lets hope that were not dissapointed.

since the RC212V is capable of 230+hp they shouldnt have a problem making the next VFR a 799-800cc with 135whp 80tq

just think

they could use this new engine for 3 new models.

VFR800T more touring

VFR800R more sport

CBR800RR Race Replica

thats all for now.

later rouse

My battery finally died today after about 4 weeks of intermittent weak starting. Lasted only 1yr 3 mths, maybe lifespan was shorten when my coil blew last yr.

Bought the $50 beeping battery from FJT and fixed it myself. You guys were right, it is tough to get the bolt into the nut, lucky the original battery had a thin sticky tape on it. Used that to hold the nut on the underside of the battery connector and then screwed in the bolt.

I am a true MacGyver, heh.

hi blackhonda....

well, the porpular ones wld be maxima, motul and even amsoil. though there are other brands tt are very widely used too....

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

Just got back from KL. Haven't had a trip with so many other makes of bikes in a long time. There were 916, 1098s, K3, VFR, 675, R1, Fazer and of course, Fireblade.

Mat Rempit scene in KL is so rampant. Was driving home after a night out, one mat was just waiting for our side of the lights to turn green and while we moved off, he dashed from nowhere right across the road in front of me. Nearly ran him over. He looked like he won a race, and was taking some other mat's gf home as prize. If you guys had raced with them on your Blades, confirm will lose your gf. They ride like their life don't mean a thing. Ran into a bunch of them at Malacca just now on the way back, we had to slow down due to traffic, but this was the perfect moment for them to display their showmanship, rempit all the way around us. One car was in a mat's way. He was so unhappy he attempted a flying kick on his bike. Heh, go figure.

Didn't manage to take any good pix this trip, just some random shots on my mobile phone. Some sniping position on a bridge of the McD hwy while waiting for Max and gang to arrive from Cherating, and a random shot at Pagoh Esso.

On EO, most oils feel rough after 3,000km, but Maxum Ultra feels good all the way up to 5,000km. 2,000km more is a lot, considering the price to performance ratio. The Blade likes thinner oils.

Welcome Jordan!

 Hi guys, don't left me out. I'm one of the BLADEr rider. I opinion is, canadian oil (Unil Opal Lub) if you had heard it before. Still trying other brand to compare. Never try the maxima before, sooner or later I will try it out.:thumb:
