I've been using Maxima Ultra 5w50 for abt a year and i would strongly reccomand this EO to any bikers. cheers!!!

My friend was asking me today, why do we change to such a thin oil and commented that it isn't good for long distance riding as it'll heat up too much. He swears by 15w50 haha.

I thought my blade was the only one will give me coil burn, to surprise even my Honda Wave's coil gave up. It started as a suspected blown headlight bulb but to my surprise it was a coil burn. Darn should have known cos I had the voltmeter installed showing me only 11.4V. I guess this is Honda's common marketing strategy to sell their parts when but come to think about it the bike is already almost 4 years old guess it explains why it happens. Lucky for me the bike could still be ridden around to my desired destination just that I do not have my front & rear lights. If it were to be my blade I might have to tow it already.

Hmmmm, mines an parallel imported bike, but my chasis number falls between the range specified in the boon siew website.

 

does tt mean that my stator warranty wld be coverd by BS???

In fact, this morning they had a workshop with food and drinks, if I knew earlier, would've organized a "tekan" session, after makan, nothing to do, start 'tekaning" them on coil issues. Haha.

Even the 06 have new coils and flywheel. Mine after 17,000km, still no issues, plus I've been riding around time more getting the temp up.

 

Eldo, maybe you can shoehorn the Blade's coil into your Wave.

Hmm with this warranty issue solved I guess those who have opt not to choose the blade because of the coil issues start to regret by now:angel:

50,000 kilometres is always our test as very few motorcycles actually do so many miles. But we once tried a Honda CBR1000RR engine on our bench and it never died! It was impossible to seize that engine under normal service circumstances. As an engineer I was impressed and I respect what the Japanese do.

my bike is not covered due to P.I

and even if i wanna pay and get the new coil

we cant get it from BS
