All i know cbr owners have to buy tank bra in order to use a tank bag. If not u have to buy those tank bag which have hooks attached. Like Arai Helmet bag can.

Alternative is to buy the "recoil" stator coil at mah motor parts, at dunlop street. So far, personally, it does last longer than the old coils, about a year plus. And it costs only $150. You can use for backup or temp. Much cheaper than paying close to $400 bucks for the original coil but quite alot of the old original coils still burnt in last than a year; plus minus.

 

For me, since 2005, my coils burnt twice onli. And i have fork out $300 so far. So not to bad for me. Just to add on, this recoils comes with a 6mth warranty.

 

But anyway, if you are able to get the new coils from BS, then you should go for it. Definately a good deal.....

 

At the same time, do get a voltmeter, definately would come in handy.

There was someone in the forum posting selling off his tankbra about 100odd last month. But with this new forum chgover and redesign, cant seemed to find it.

 

Anyway, if your really looking for an alternative tank cover with tank bag, you could scout around along serangoon lavender road, where shops do customised bike seats and tank covers, like shop 219 and etc. Then can customised to a particualr tank bag. Though i have not personally tried it, but i guess thats one of the closers and cheapest alternatives posible.

 

Other than that, need to scout online for such accessories.

I find that Mah Motorparts is quite a good shop. The mechanic is quite experienced & cares for your bike.Well even though it does not really look as grand as it's brothers' at Mah Pte.

Although I seldom defend BS, I must say I understand why they are doing this. They have an obligation to their customers first. Imagine if I bought an agent bike, and they sold all their new coils to other shops and PI bikes, then those who paid extra for an agent bike will be left stranded.

Torque, register your bike on their BS's site and get an additional 3 months warranty. That was what I did. But they told me even if my warranty expires, they will take care of my bike. Either they like me very much or is terrified of me. So I guess you have to make them like you 1st, if that doesn't work, turn into the Incredible Hulk.

Another woman gang-raped

JOHOR BARU: A group of men took a couple on a terror ride before raping the woman, the second such case in as many days here.

A 55-year-old contractor and his 35-year-old female friend had stopped at a petrol station along the Pasir Gudang highway at 10.30pm last week.

As he was filling up, three men armed with parang overpowered him and forced both victims into the car.

The assailants took the victims on a one-hour terror ride before stopping at a secluded area along the highway.

As in the case on Monday, the contractor was slashed in the leg when he tried to escape.

With the injured victim watching helplessly, the men took turns to rape the woman before fleeing in another car driven by an accomplice.

The victims lodged a police report after the incident.

On Monday, a 19-year-old girl was raped by three men as her boyfriend watched helplessly in Taman Tampoi Indah.

Their car was rammed into by another car. Three men in the car then abducted the couple. The boyfriend was also slashed in the leg when he tried to escape.

In another incident, a doctor, in her 50s, fell and injured her head after two thieves on a motorcycle snatched her handbag while she was walking to her car in Taman Melody yesterday.

Passers-by who saw the incident caught one of the suspects. He was handed over to the police.

I have read about it on the new paper as well. those people should be bang down bike a bike and die on the spot. The police over there will not do anything about it just pay them some cash and they will close 1 eye.
