Are you saying this out of a bad experience of the stock tires?

Please explain...

BE A TRUCK, BE A BICYCLE. (i.e. Occupy your space like a truck driver, but concede like the bicyclist). Loving my new ride, 03-15-09!

i dun get to build up that much heat on the tyres in sg roads though. Currently using tyre pressure recommended on the manual -10kpa. Maybe its not suitable for our roads? =X

Did you enquire for PI or agent bike? I know the next production is in June, delivery in July or August. Unless the shop already has stock.

Actually they're not that bad. Just becareful when you pump air in them, some pumps are not properly calibrated.

I was at Fraser's Hill, it was damp, didn't slip once, maybe it's because I had 5 nails in the rear tyre and pressure was down. I made it back to SG with the nails in it.

I usually pump in the same place at the same condition, Ie usually before i go to work to the petrol station just 300m from my place.. oh well maybe its my rear suspension set up or something.. too much/too little damping =X

Street reviews to share this time..

Since its motorcycle usa i really wonder if they used US spec bikes or Euro spec.. since bikes like r1 and cbr1 has restrictions in the US spec ones..

For instance r1 has a max 80% throttle restriction from 11,000rpm to 13,500rpm and a 6hp reduction on a US spec machine..

I believe the US spec fireblade has retard timing from 11,000rpm onwards as well

RSV4 has the lowest overall score again. LOL, Prasad, come back to Team Woopa. :cheeky:

If the S1000RR were about S$30K, I'd get it. For price to performance ratio, you can't beat the Blade.

Great article, thanks for posting! :thumb:

Hey Alex, are you going for HRC color as well? Black is readily available.

Even if the OTR price for S1000rr in sg was 40k i will buy it.. coz the new cbr1 2010 is already 31k OTR for me.

But then when i heard its like 43k machine.. i just end up iwth the blade

Although i think the 180bhp would be able to keep me addicted for ultra long lol considering the 205+kg wet weight.

ALmost 1hp to 1kg power of weight ratio.

Maybe the rsv isnt the Factory model thats why.. anyway it looks really tiny.. from the video the bike looks like its got no tail lol

Both of you are correct... Off the shelves tyres are different from stock OEM tyres. Although brand n model is the same but the feeling is totally different .. During 2003 , Asia Pac rider Hammer was using Dunlop D208 n was clocking 1.34~1.35 .. When i got my bike , the OEM tyres was also D208 n i thought these tyres should be able to hold well since Hammer can do 1.35 with these tyres .. But i was wrong my tyres started to slide everywhere while exiting of the turn after 17 laps . The tyres is only 1 mth old n just clock 2500km on it.

After asking a few riders n found more most of them do have the same problem at track .. Then a friend of mine was using D208 n was tagging along to track with me n i ask if he can borrow me his bike for a while to try the tyres .. It was way way much better then the OEM .. the grip is superb n can hold for 2 session with out sliding.

2010 model. It was readily available. I enquired at AS Phoon, they are not bad. Price is definitely cheaper than Mah, although I had previously bought 3 bikes from them.
