Maybe you can give your "technically speaking ..." after checking it out.

When I dropped it in, I could feel an immediate boost in power, not a huge one of course, but noticeable.

What about those magnets tuned with the right frequency that are clipped onto the fuel line? I see a lot of these things for cars and bikes these days.

That i also feel like trying out, but its too expensive and its just for power boosting so, will pass on that.

Raptor, this edward did mention something like oxygenate the fuel and increase octane level so that it do not become stale after a few days in ur tank. This can be felt significantly as my petrol used to become less power as days goes by, but now, it's more power as the days goes by.

Edwin, i used to said no firmly to additives. 1st is the engine treatment from Jo. It prove to be good as my gear shifting become smoother but wont slips. The 2nd thing i add is this catalyst intro by tashi.

tashi, is someone who always shunned away from mods type of guy. so i guess if he said good stuff, maybe i should give it a try and i m also satisfied with it. Trust us man, this fuel catalyst is good. wont harm the bike, just increase octane level of fuel shouldn't be harmful.

Very interesting website.

The fact that this product is EPA approved says alot about it. The Enviroment Protection Agency of USA is bloody strict on pollution and hazardous wastes. If they can approve it for use.. you can bet it is good.

Furthermore it is stated that it is OEM approved so that's good for warranty.

Might probably be illegal here too like those helmets that are DOT or Snell approved coz it does not meet PSB's 'stringent addtional requirements' Whahahahahahaha!!!

Now I am convinced to try also.... where to get and how many money for one to try??

ken....let see how first...cos my bike is very seldom on the road even after making the mid pipe for the stock exhuast. my mileage now just pass 4k for a 6 mths bike....90 percent clock while going up sepang. thanks for the intro. most of the time either use my Y125Z or my wife's kips.......hehe

Like that all the more must use the catalyst so that while u r not using bike, the petrol in the tank will not get stale and when u ride ur bikie, the fuel is race fuel liao. Ready for Sepang anytime. hahahaha. not forcing u lah, just think that its a good product wanna intro to u only. mine 6 months 19,000km liao... a full service date is near...

Wah!! Raptor joining in man. Its $45 per piece. Got to ask tashi for the number to call Edward. Maybe u can take a look at this too. It should be the same thing.

http://www.broquet.com.sg/__48256B8E0014D9...8256B8E00173E5A

Met Tashi at Paragon just now. Got the fuel catalyst (thanks Tashi!!) and dropped it in my tank.

I don't want to sound silly.... but after riding about 10km, I felt the bike is running smoother. The acceleration is smoother too. I know it is not my imagination coz when at idle I noticed that the idling speed had gone up by about 100 rpm and I had not touched the adjustment. Since I have not messed with the idle control or the fuel injection system mapping... something is making the idling speed climb.

Only postulation I can offer is- the fuel is burning more efficiently and therefore more power is being extracted from the same amount of fuel/air mixture during each combustion stroke than previously and therefore the pistons are moving downwards faster (due to stronger kick?) and hence the increase in rpm. Technically, this can only be achieved by using fuel of higher octane rating.

If the postulation is correct, then I expect my fuel consumption to improve by at least 10 km per full tank. (Ballpark figure)

Gonna ride my bike again later this evening to confirm that I am not hallucinating!!

Raptor, how many u dropped?

For me, my milleage did not improve with 2 palets in. It decrease infact.

With 1 palet, my fuel consumption is back to normal before i had the catalyst but with a tank of better petrol.

So, if u dropped 2 in and ur milleage improve, then it can only be my riding style.

Do keep us update man.

Your fuel consumption won't improve much in fact. Cos you'll feel your bike is much nicer to rev, you'll rev more than usual, in the end, use more fuel.

It's supposed to improve fuel consumption, but I'm not getting consistent results, so I took both out yesterday to monitor. I have to put in fresh untreated fuel.

Maybe my K&N has got lots of insects stuck in there, so lesser air flow, fuel consumption improving every week with every carbon clearing session.

However, he gave me the oil additive to try, so I guess I won't be able to gauge accurately with this new variable.

The catalyst, he gave it to me without charging me. He said if you like it then pay me later. He was quite confident of it, so I gave it a shot. I only paid him 2 or 3 weeks later.

Now he wants me to try that magnet thing under no obligation.

Today rode around more, so I can say that the engine does rev more freely with the oil additive. It's very noticeable. Supposed to last 30,000km. (Ken, I dunno why you added another so soon). Gear change is also smoother, didn't slip once.

All fuel and engine oil has additive. Each oil company gets the base stock, and then add their own blend. Some blend is better than others.

My friend who works in pertochem firm keeps asking me to try Mobil 1. AT also switched to it, and he says it's much smoother then Castrol. A good engine oil doesn't require additional additive I was told (Not edward of course).

A funny thought. We were all swapping the RR4s last time. I thought Chilly's bike was smoother than mine. Rick thought mine was smoother than Ken's. Basically the other guy's bike is always smoother then your own. But we were all on Hondas. But when I hopped on a few Suzukis, I was like okay, my bike is definitely smoother.

Huh? Free trying for the magnet thing!!! I want!!!

For engine oil, i strongly reccommend Fuchs Sykoline.

My findings on some brand of engine oil:

Tried Motul, Castrol and Fuchs for this bike and i felt the best on the Fuchs. Motul and Fuchs can provide the initial just-changed-oil power but not the castrol.

Can felt the solid sound when revving the bike with these 2 oil but not castrol.

The thing which separate this 2 oil is that the motul felt heavy with 2000km without track sessions while Fuchs can bring me to 3500km then felt weird but not heavy with some 6 track sessions.

But the funny part is that the ratings on the castrol is the best for our bike. Guess the place where the current castrol oil is made plays a big part in it.

He said the engine treatment can last 30,000km? but he told me 20,000km... but did he tell u that the 1st time u pour the whole bottle in and the subsequence oil change u need to pour half bottle in?

For me, i will be sticking to Fuch Sykoline in future, so wont try anymore engine treatment as this oil itself contains Anti-friction treatment for the engine.

But the fuel catalyst is a must-have for me.

My conclusion is the longer ur petrol stays in ur tank, the lesser milleage u can get from that tank. As days goes by, the octane level will just get higher with the catalyst, thus resulting in faster burning of the fuel, and inturn getting inconsistent results.

very true. clock abt 280km on my cameron highland trip. with high rev :cheer:

in SG, best record 240km. petronas give best result

How true.

But damn.... the bike feels so different now.

I wanna say the throttle feels 'loose' but I don't think its the right word to use.

Its like you twist throttle with a certain amount of input expecting an 'x' amount of response but now I feel like I am overdoing it and overrevving the bike but I know in reality I did the same thing as before.

Weird feeling. Pleasantly surprising no doubt, but weird.:thumb:

Hehe, thank you, had to order it, came in about 8 pieces of different sizes, I think left a piece or 2 huge ones. They may have other colors of the same model.

Awaiting the 5th element.

I just had some headlight films stuck on, cost me $10. The 'barely there' look retains the original beauty of the Blade, nothing protruding. Good for protecting against nicks from little rocks.

Can be waxed over, a good thing. Easily replaced if they get stolen, but you can't even see its there, virtually nothing to steal.

They close at 10pm, a 15 min job. Stick it on, heat it up, cut it out. Opposite Lavendar Food Court.

If you clear carbon, you'll need it.

Good thing I had to borrow a light for smokes. Those guys there also going to Malacca this Sat.

Wear your usual white Adidas jacket, with dead insects, black spots and brown stains. That's stylo. Hahaha.

Why don't you wear your suit?

Tashi, I just came back from the National Eye Centre.

Quick op, confirmed as one of the oil glands clogged up on the eyelid.

The doc cut open the inside of my left eyelid and scraped the solidified wax stuff out. Yeech!!

Rode back home from there... with an eye patch. Good thing I not riding a Suzuki Bandit or else I would fit the description of a One-eyed Bandit! Wahahahha!!

So put me down as firm to go this Saturday!!

And I went and check out my fuel consumption this morning.. am averaging 17km per litre which will work out to be 255km range for full tank to reserve assuming is 15 litres with 3 litres reserve. Those pellets are magic man!!

By the way... I ride the CTE, SLE, BKE and KJE to and from work (total of 48 km) averaging 100kmh... so that may explain the good figures. As it is.. I am getting another extra 15 km per full tank as compared to before so hey, I like it.

Will check with my friend with the ZX10 and see if he could be off this weekend and then I will coerce him to come along to make Number 5.

That's great news! Wishing you a speedy recovery. No pr0n for the next 2 weeks, refrain from staring down at 'drains', and as usual, always stand behind the yellow line.

As magical as they may appear, those tiny pellets, do not swallow them.

Watch out Ken, read Tashi's last post carefully... Tashi the Prankster is on the roll!!

By this Friday, alot of 'guys' will be very interested in what else you will be putting on or taking off for the NS Highway. Especially those who did not read the thread a few posts back.

Hmmm come to think of it... leather and lace would be nice:faint:

Spoke to my friend with the ZX10 about this trip. He says he is going to try and apply leave to go.

So can put him down as pending.
