Hi, for a Fireblade 2010 model, I wonder what's the max I can go before the reserve goes empty. So far tested until 0.4.

I tried to seach this woopa thread but yet to find this info. Pls let me know if you knew. Thanks.

I've gone till 3.6 when it went empty, there could be some variances from bike to bike.

Need help fellow bladers. Am new w an 08, but i noticed that its giving out a ratlling sound from the engine. Engine and bike performance is still immaculate tho. Just that it making a sound that really like a duc. Any reliable mech, that isvreputable and hassle free. I dont need a mech who doesnt know what it is, and break the engine for nothing. Really in need of help here bros.

Does it sound louder when you're accelerating?

Hi Denver Dino,

First of all, thank you for taking ur time to reply. Okay, Its an 08 but registered on 10, thus the 1st rider only rode it for that much 3800km. When I first started the bike out from the shop, the sound was immmenently there. No, the enginse case was never broken into before as I can see that the original bolts and all were not disturb.

2ndly, if its a second hand bike, do we really have the luxury to go back to boon siew to ask in the first place? Clutch recall? Yes, I've read that somewhere in this forum regarding about that. So shud I just test market and try?

After a clutch recall has been done, the dealer is supposed to punch a dot on the frame plate. Not everyone does that, but feel free to haul it in to check.

If you say the sound was intermittent, it really happened on mine before. The sound was on your right side?

No harm trying.

hi..

i am planning on getting a new CBR1000. Is boon siew good? cos its the authorized dealer. like things on warranty and stuff

anything suggestion? will get things when u purchase your bike from the shop??? thanks

As long you get agent bike, they is no issue on the warranty. Then from wat I knew boon siew will never free u any free gift. The most is slider... as for outside shop u may ask for more items before confirmation. As for mine was free 4 slider and the head light protector with design number plate. Or u may request for 1st oil change for free...but is your luck to try.

Welcome to the family. What model are you riding? Post some pix!

1. Oil filters. Spark plugs don't have to change so frequently. Other than that, really nothing much.

2. 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 ...

3. The staples on the under side of the seat might scratch your paint job, make sure you put some clear film to protect it.

4. Exhaust is a start.

Have u tried bike production? Saw a 08 Cbr for sale last time I was there, quite alot of good stuff on it. And the shop seems reliable as there's some good reviews on it. Maybe can check it out also.

I'm not sure the differences between '06 and '10. About 200 km, reserve lights on. Pumped 13.5L to reach the maker recommended full level. Tank can hold 17.7L according to manual.

I'm just 65kg (the last time I checked) and moderate with my right wrist. I remember, when the bike was using the factory filled EO, it reached 205 to 210 km.

My 06 hits about 22x to 24x before the light comes on. It's how you run it in too. Which is why I am very picky that no one touches the bike when I buy one. It's got to come out of the box in front of me.

Here's a 2010 model if you're interested. Accident free, below 17,000km, special run in by long time Honda owner who has owned 5 different models of FireBlades, unboxing supervised by owner too for reasons average people would not comprehend, HP figures more than a Blade with full system, hand washed and pat dry by owner only, no swirl marks, but talk to him to learn more. It's got a lot of upgrades since this video was made though. Price is $32,288. Price excludes the number plate and the special bolts given to him by a dear friend though.

160km and 220km before reserve is alot of difference, even with arrow slip on I doubt can have a gap of 60km.. I do run alot mostly on small road though. Any advise what major checks should i do on the bike since its mileage is coming near 100k km? (I know it's freakin high) I only traveled less than 1000 km with it though since i bought it. Please dont tell me to scrap the bike. I simply adore it too much.

Wow, respect to the previous owner! When I was staying at the city center, I only managed 18x km before the reserve light comes on.

When was the last time a valve clearance was done? Looks like you'l have to send it in for a full service.

I noticed your wheels are not orange, the Repsol design must be repainted? There's no Repsol offered for 06 models.
