all bike got their pros and cons..

the only way to know your bike better is when they give you problem.:D

thats how i feel..

this bike is new here..so maybe you guys who own them 1st hand and experience all the problems get it rectified and know the problems could share with the new batch of madass riders..

i dont face any major problem at all riding it ..of course there is some hicups here and there but its just the normal petty thing that most bike face and could be easily rectified..

im not saying this bike is really good bcos im riding one but i have seen the potential of it from their old auto 50cc and now the 125cc and those that have been mod.only setback is the crankcase is too small..

if no need inspection here i could have easily swapped engine and turn it into a beast :)

the 500cc is really a monster and the 200cc which is a proto type and its called the beast looks really "garang"

rumours has it that a 250cc is on its way but i doubt so for 4 stroke on a 250cc not shiok ahh..heheheheheh

Seems like you're a hardcore modder yourself wor? Care to share wat's been done to your ride? :slurp: :slurp:

IMHO, if crankcase too small, bore it out. If not enough metal to bore, weld and bore. Still not good enough can increase the stroke. 200++ cc surely good enough for you ba? If still not enough, change to inner rotor, total-loss ignition yadadada.

Any engine can be modded—one way or another. ;-p

Good think about the engine is that its quite compatible or should i say its same with some other bikes cos the engine is a copy of honda..and if you look at any mini dirt bike or monkey bike engine it looks the same its just a matter of seeing wat engine suits and get it run with that system..im using front sprocket 15t and rear sprocket 40t might change again the sprocket cos distance is good but my pick up suffer abit.. according to some experts 15 front 39 back is the best combination for the bike but i cant get 39 and smallest i have wif me is 40 so i just try it lor still have a couple of different sizes of sprocket to play with but bit leceh cos some are on 420 chain and some are 428,mikuni carb 26mm and a bore up block and big piston head of 56mm, and bigger cam.. the stock valve is oredi big enuff..so no need to change to big valve..so no need to mod some more my top block

i got some spare performance kits..so im just meddling around with it and see whats the best mod to my liking..

im not even touching the stock parts except for the valve and tappets ,rocker arm etc..and since its a 1st hand bike i have three years without worrying of sending it to inspection,if my modification screw me up..at least i noe where it goes wrong and worse cums to worse i still have my stock parts like my stock block ,piston head ,cam.and so on ..though i have enuff parts one thing im short of is gasket.:o and as long my crankcase dont crack im ok...if not big headache..

so im trying to get enuff gasket for myself now:)

i only meddling around with the mechanical stuff ..im not sure about the electronic components so im still using the stock CDI though i know of ppl who uses racing CDI but it doesnt last long and it srewed up the bike big time...i try not to go to the extreme ahh cos after all i dont use the bike on track..so too fast oso for wat if the ride is not comfortable..hheheh

What tempt me most is swapping the whole engine with a bigger one like the Lifan engine which is china made but you can modded it like nobody business with that engine...

i'm thinking of changing to inverted fork..but again the conventional fork is good enuff lah..but anyway after all the experimenting then i will see about changing the fork.:D

BTW as anyone changes their tyre?? care to share cos im having headache with tyres..not much variety for a 16" if not i guess i just have to mod here and there to change to a 17" rim

Thinking of changing to a 17" rim set too. Much wider choice of tyres. BTW you mean Mah PL offering 3 year warranty for this bike?

To all, any problems with availability of spares of this bike? Engine parts Im not too worried la. But its the other stuffs ie: handlebars, mirror, body parts etc... Will these be a headache to find? Mah PL stock these? And most importantly, price reasonable?

Posted

its sure a fun bike to ride but i hate the unwanted attention i get on the road.

if you are getting one try riding it long with the stock setting and get use to it and im sure the 1st thing u need to do is change your sprocket..the stock 46t rear makes the bike heavier on a distance..

sorry i got no pic at the moment but im thinking of getting it paint to some other color from the matt black now wait till im happy with engine then i change color...hehehehe..

no need to avoid just say hi will do : )

anyway if theres any other stuff that i can help i wol be glad to share it with you..if not then i will try and get the ans from the expert..heheheheh

Ha. So who's that expert? Care to share?

the expert will be the people who have been riding and mod the bike and facing lots more problems than most of us here and they got it rectified.we will then talk and discuss just like in this thread and will share their thoughts and gave tips.so they are like my manual guide book and i just put my hands on it with their advice and guide..sometimes with theory no hands to it how to know rite? so make friends with "the expert" keep constant in touch like msn or something then when free go and meddle with the bike..hehehehehe

You go to mechanics oso sometimes no point..not all mechanics know wat they are doing and different mechanics have different view and speciality in different sort of bike talking to them can oso be useful at times..and u will noe which one is bullshitting.

this is just my point of view..i dont know about others..cos i believe its my bike and its my reponsiblity to know it well so that no mechanics can conned me unless u have a trusted mechanics then stick to them and they will be your "expert" one...:D

Hi Guys,

I would like to buy this bike just for fun, but would like to ride it for 5 mins to try it out.

Any kind soul:angel: can offer me a test ride? We can go makan and i stand treat after the ride.

No worry about my skills though, last bike was Fireblade 900. Any damage, i'll be fully responsible. Just wanted the feel, 5mins will do.

If possible kindly pm me pls.

Many thanks:cheeky:

The Madass -it is made in China.

A few other European bikes are now made in China.

For example the (1) Xispa Trial and the (2) Puzey motocross.

Would be good to hear from owners if they have found this bike to be reliable?

This is a great looking bike. Not sure how it runs. BUT, and it's a big but. It's extremely light. Please be careful when riding this bike. According to my friend, It is extremely unstable at high speeds and the handlebar will wobble if a fast vehicle goes pass you.

Or its jus assemble in china?

I'm riding X1-R, at high speed I can feel the handlebar shaking... for MadAss might be more dangerous compare to mine.

What's the total dry weight of MadAss? Mine is >110kg.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
