u can use full face

and buy those helmet bags that has a chain to go thru the full face and lock to yr bike

chances of people carrrying chain cutter lower ;)

but all locks can still be picked

i had my tire/tube screw caps stolen recently

not even $5 also steal

real pain in the axx

Yup Yup, agree wif u, my friends riding sports bike also do tis, buy cheapo fullface then chain it to the bike.....

Unless the pathetic thief is those professional kind, able to pick the lock, or brings cutters / axe to cut the lock......

Unlikely lah....

So far quite lucky cuz yrs ago when riding TZR, I always carry my helmet around, very sian I know, but no choice. Now my Wave got box, can keep my helmet inside. Unless you tell me box kana preyed open, then I suck thumb :sian:

Yrs ago, it happened to my fren at Ridleys....wanted to go home early, but he later went back in to borrow money from his fren to take taxi home. Yup, like you said, someone cut his helmet strap and stun his cheapo Nova to pillon his one night stand home :sian:

I think the next day he went back to get his bike after dropping by a shop to buy helmet, his bike was also kana summon for overnight parking :sian: :sian: :sian:

Thieves are so selfish....bring a spare helmet for the chai, and I will think she also more impressed rather than see him flashed out a penknife right? o_O

Mosque carpark near paragon!!! tell me about it.

I got friends who happily park their bike. and leave their helmets inside their GiVi box, also kana stolen..... The best part is, there is no sign of tampering on the box. I hear from bikeshops that, there are Master Keys for such boxes......

So you the imagine theses thieves can act as if its their bike, use master key open the box, then close back swee swee for u.

When the owner is back, open the box, then "Suprise"! :giddy:

what i normally do, i dun leave my helmets locked on the bike... i carry them along with me.. i rather make it inconvenient for myself den to make it convenient for thieves to help themselves to my helmets.. 2ndly, i dun lock them to the bike is because sometimes while securing it to your bike, it might cause scratches to my bike which i dun want.. so i feel that the best thing is to carry them along with me wherever i go...

Can really understand why some bikers insist not having boxes, bikes like sports bike and scrambler will look not as nice if theres an additional boxes. One way is to use helmet bags then, try not to put it on bike in carpark, especially sheltered ones.

Talking about these thiefs, have you guys came across your bikes got purposely scratched or having your seats burnt with a cigarette butt? Just don't understand why does some pple wanted to do this. Even pull out your bike rain cover and throw it our or steal it (even u spray your plate numer) also happy!

Sorry OT abit!

Oh man. . .this is scary! Especially when you just bought your bike! I don't wish this will happen to me man!! This people will can their retribution back for sure! Karma!!! I think will still keep it in box la. Cause its really pointless carrying helmet around and very inconvinient. Restricts movement too.

I stopped securing my helmet to my bike eversince my FF helmet was stolen at the basement carpark of Clarke Quay so long ago. Now I carry my FF helmet wherever I go. May be inconvenient but at least I have my peace of mind...

Cos they never stop stealing helmets.

For all the helmets that got stolen, i hope the stolen helmets will be tested in the event of a crash to see if they are worth the money spent on them.

Not necessarily true. My old FF helmet was a lousy brand one. Damn smelly and the pads are all worn out but still the thief stole it... :slapforehead:
