i was ridin my 06 at 110 wen all of a sudden e engine oil light blinking..n my bike slow down n halt...wen i tried to restart it..it produce tis loud squeaking sound..b4 tat there is a leakage of engine oil i think..maybe bcos of e gasket..anione hav any idea wats wrong wif it? coz i used to experience tis wen usin my 2 stroke last time..but tat is symptom of piston jam...n since im new to 4 strokes,anione know wats wrong wif it?? n how much i nid to fork out in order to repair it???

hi, today i encounter similar problem.

 

whenever my runner vxr200 05 in station position/ stop position, the engine die off. then the engine oil indicator lights up.

 

i need to start again whenever my runner engine die off.

 

wats the problem?

could be idling too low....

could be idling could be fuel cog could be the diaphragm... too many could bes

Have you checked the spark plug? Could be that the spark plug or its cable is loose I'm speaking on experiece

i check the sparkplug cale...is all rite.

 

in order to keep away the engine die off, i have to open abit of throttle n hold during my bike is station/stop during red light.

there should be something wrong with your carb. or maybe there is water in your carb. check your idling screw before sending to the shops.

sparkplug changed...everythin seems okae..i only experience tis kinda thing on previous gilera sp..but tis is my 1st time experiencing it on 4 stroke

Hi guys i just bought a gilera'06 (the nexus look) second hand. I found out that is this funny sound coming from the rear. I dont know whether is the belting or wat but i sounded like a helicopter but not so loud but i can feel the vibration when im on the bike with the engine on. I have a few friends riding gilera but i find that their gilera dont feel the same as mine as in when i sit on their gilera with the engine on. When I go back to my bike shop the mechanic claimed dat the prvious owner changed the roller to a 'racing one' so the roller caused a bit of sound and hence the vibration.

I'm getting worried as im scared that the bike would breakdown. I would like some advise from u guys as to what should i do to make sure that the roller wouldnt create any problem in the future. Is there any bike shop that I can trust to have a look at my bike?

My guess is the engine mount bushing..quite common frm older models..newer RST model i`m not too sure..maybe owners can shed some light?

or maybe clutch slip..u can go to scoot specialist shops to have it rectified..to name some are,Tai hin,Future Scootering and Botak etc etc..

ic thanks for the reply. i bought my bike at bukit merah from i-motoring. is there any shop near yishun or any recommended one shop that really can help me rectify the problem? one more question... do u guys think that this is a serious problem???

shouldnt be any major problem.i do not think the bike shop has anything to do with it as not all bikeshops are well versed in scooters.kallang area has quite a few renown workshops..near yishun i do not know of any..shld be not very major issue..

mount ur bike on main stand... push the rear tyre ard... see if it shakes

come to think abt it... when i 1st bought my vxr... it was a total silent killer

after barely 2 yrs... it was beginning to sound like a Harley Davidson

nonetheless, no major issues except bits of tits & tats here & there

it might be nothing, it could be something, or it probably leads to everything

thanks for the advise guys... today i found out something more disturbing... instead of the problem i posted earlier.. there was also like a squeeking sound coming from the roller or the belting side (from the rear tyre side to be more exact). i getting worried and i plan to go to sunrise shop at kallang tmr to ask to to have a look then if they say that there is something wrg then i would go back to m bike shop and ask them either to rectify the problem or if they insisted that there is nothing wrong, i would ask them for "balck and white" in which if my bike breaks down because of the problem, they would pay for the service. Or in that black and white i would send the bike for inspection to piaggo and if piaggo say that there is a problem there, my bike shop would pay for the service since they insist that the sound is nothing serious. what do you guys think about that? or do you have any other suggestions? really need help guys....

the weird sound, might be coming from ur clutch( either surface has worn out or juz simply too much 'dust' causing it to slip ) quite normal. wat u can do, if diy.. sand a bit of the clutch surface and clean the clutch and clutch bell. u could try changing to a stiffer spring oso, for me it help a bit.

 

the helicopter sound might be coming from ur variator, where ur rollers are. ur rolllers might be already out of shape so maybe u shd change tat oso ..

 

maybe u shd check with ur bike shop .. when was the last full servicing done.. but if u want to save all the trouble .. juz go for 1.. just to feel safe.
