saya bukan pro, but meh sini i share extra info what ive learnt.. ade ilmu jgn lokek..

fyi, k0 k1 k2 k3 konek kotek are different compounds. K3 hard compound for normal roads, but racetecs & the latest interact pun so far bawak masuk only k2(medium compound), info got from JR.. tyre grip depends on compound & and of course,especially thread for wets... what im using now is the old racetec model... tepi NO thread.. dragon sc, racetec k2, power one, etc etc, these are road legal BUT track focused tyres.. made of softer - medium compounds... cuba compare how limited the threads of these tyres dgn tyres like corsa 3 etc etc.. these weekend u tgk tayar aku,tayar Apit(hez using Power one) & compare with the rest...

 

other than rider skills & mentality to ride or track in wets, susah pleh nk jawab soalan ko... i hav not much idea bt the racetec interact and to comment on tyres in track & normal road is completely a different thing..

i had a track session in rain before.. tym corner of cus ade limitations, lebih sikit, start to slide, lebih lagi, dgn kau skali slide!! on straights, blakang mcm ade Jin henjut2 tayar kau.. but dats track riding, totally different approach... but how fast u wana ride & how low do u want to corner on normal roads when wet?? lagipun different tyre models are very competitive now.. lain la ko gi beli tayar IRC hehehe

 

if u looking at tyres for only normal road riding, jgn la beli these kind of DOT tyres that are very track focus.. they wear out faster... why not bt016? SC II? corsa 3? diablo rosso? multi-compound dat provides superior grip in dry (reviews for diablo rosso also very positive in wets).. these tyres are hard compound in the middle, unlike track focused tyres... they lasts longer... touring tyres pun ade byk models jugak pe.... eh lupe, ko penduduk setia Singapura! kehehek

aku ni bukan la maner punye pro, but sharing my knowledge on my readings & experience with friends.. senang ckp, if ure looking for normal roads & touring, jus top-up few more bucks $30-$60 & get 'non race focused tyres'.... paling important, you should know whats ur purpose...
