Just as I was about to sign for company A, my friend msg me whether his hr has got back to me to work in his company B....

 

Company A offers higher salary by $200 more...but the thing is, it has long working hours and 5.5 days work week...they also placed a firm offer on the table....

 

company B main attraction is its benefit package, its the job i want but it pays slightly lower than company A...but it offers a balance work/life lifestyle and the other drawback is that company B interview is only on this friday....

 

Now am in a dilemma

yea, im thinking about going for interview with company B cause its 5 days work week rather than company A which although its 5.5 days, its actually a position which requires 24/7 attention since its operations....

 

i already asked company A to hold that position to which they agreed...but im thinking they could still interview more people since i decided to back out and may not be able to get that position if they manage to get somebody in place....

 

dont want to choose the next job based on LL..wont be happy one.

well actually 5.5days and 5day dont really make much different the only thingy is when u decide to go overseas that is the diffcults part... well no Company will promise u that they will hold the position for u unless u r at management level. So good luck to ur friday interview and hopefully u will get it, if not choice A not really a bad choice....

 

dun be like me... dump a 2k job + extra incentive to exchange 500bucks job with 0 benefit and totally no incentive + my female boss was not 100% mental well... .

that was my worse decision that i ever made in my life...

i jus had an interview earlier (like finally) and i put my expected pay as $2.5k (nego), they keep lowball me to $2k. tomorrow going to meet the HR to further discuss this.

i fresh grad... w/o prior full time working experience, so the ball is not really on my court. the only good thing is that i have no commitment and pay will get adjusted over time. but hopefully within my expectation range and time.

 

it's more of thinking "what-if" other job offers start coming in? and once i give up this opportunity, it wont be open for me anymore.

well to those who are contemplating between 2 job offers.

that means, having a certified confirmed job offer now is much better than a prospective interview in the future.

 

i also faced this dilemma as well, 1 company offered me the job already although i had no interest in that line, the other company's interview is on the same week as job offer day.

 

so i took up the job offer and went for the interview at teh same time. turns out i failed the interview eventually.

 

right now, things turned out better than i expected, adjusted to the job.

 

but no matter what, do what you feel is right. that way, you feel no regrets from anything should things turn out the bad way, because you listened to yourself.

well, most importantly must see what the HR talk to me about later first. but it's a job in the education industry which i wanted to get in initially and this job will gain management experience which should be pretty useful to my future too.

Java has been bugging me since april this year. It's do or die tomorrow. Pass my java project presentation and I graduate else i am stuck in poly for another 6 months. Damn i hate java programming language.

 

I know. I did mine in Australia and took me many times to pass. I passed after the lecturer was replaced and I quickly got on MSN to tell my Taiwanese friend to come back and finish her course 'cos the lecturer was a lot better.

 

Mummy is back.

 

And 1st hour she is back. I was on verges of losing my temper. I practically stayed away from the house, even though I was sick with a throat infection. Read and read at the library for a whole day to keep cool.

 

And this morning.......some more. Mummy is not incompetent. She just gets on my nerves with a lot of things she does, w/o using her blain. Sigh.

 

I think your mum uses her brain but not the way she used to. Like my mom, when I came back from Australia, I still dunno what she's thinking. It's so different from 15 years ago and somemore she has poor memory. I think all the past maids took advantage of that.

ouh....fresh degree grad...given the current market...2.5k for a fresh degree grad shouldnt be an issue but HR would usually comment "ure salary too high, in addition no experience"...hopefully it turns out for the best...
