I told him," Lol. Talk about kids. The R1 rider still replying me. Lol. Joke. U offer $500? Lol. Lowballer. Just **** off la boy. R1 so what? U dare play with me on the road? No. So don't compare your R1. Compare the skill u have. It's not the bike, it's the rider. U ride so long already u still don't know? Joke of the century. Lol"

To me, this type of buyer doesn't deserve my attention. They always like to lowball with stupid excuses, then arrogantly say he's driving n got R1... clearly a show off person with no brain attached. If I'm the seller, i would just ignore him. Hehe.

I will also offer below 1k lei. Lol. 94 bike, almost 20 year. Accessories 1k possible to cover ba? Even if cany cover, as a buyer, i will offer to my own advantage, y would i offer to satisfy e seller?

E buyer is stupid to use reason like car or ride r1 to define his knowledge.

Seller also problem, discussion ve problem become challenge on e road. Similar with last time "not happy come out talk la, my number is xxxxxxxx".

Anyway i say again, i will alsonoffer less than 1k for this bike, call me lowballer, but i dun think its low ball at all.

hmmm... in a way, u r right. yeah, tis matter could hav been better handled. but as a seller, he has d right to put watever price he wants. it depends on d buyer whether accept it or not. if wanna lowball oso do it politely la, no need hard feeling involved. i think it's fair enuf. :)

Agree with what you say. Coe left less than a month left. Anyway accs on bike don't add a lot of value to the bike, its more of an advantage to the sales. If lets say my accs total up to 5k, and I sell my bike 5k more than market price, you think people will buy?

Low ballers are inevitable. I encounter a lot before too. Just simply ignore them.. no point argue and spoil your day.

XX, rather than losing that beauty and the frustration of trying to selll cheap, swallow your pride. take the 900 your father is giving and just renew 5 years. hopefully the bike has no other problem. enjoy your ride for the next 5 years and keep saving untill 5 yrs later you have enough money , buy a nicer bike, of course if you put 5 years coe, many people will have doubt of the condition of the bike, so you got to really hold on to her until then

If buy 5 year coe cannot renew anymore when end. Anyway better to scrap and sell accessories bit by bit then got money to buy another bike. I think e buyer wan to buy e accessories only ba.

Anyway 25yrs for a sport bike, don't think much ppl interested. Maybe by then totally phased out of the market.

But some people do just that... Think adding accessories on a vehicle - which value never appreciates, will increase the value. It's just not that way, unless the vehicle is a collectible item.

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

Collectible usually dun ve performance accessories la. Only comestic to ensure e antique feel.

Which is y i will offer less than 1k for tat bike lo. Call me low ball but i feel already giving seller good deal. Call me low ball but dun insult me.

Lets just take a step back and observe from neutral point.

Buyer offer a price tat buyer think is reasonable.

Seller reject and say low ball becoz seller feel deserve more.

Who right who wrong?

My opinion is no right no wrong. When buyer seller involve, it becomes a business transanction. Thus there isnt a right or wrong anymore. Its profit or loss. So there isnt any need to scold or call names or challenge to race bla bla bla. There also no need to say i noe more becoz i ve car and ride big bike.

Verdict? Both stupid idiots la.

Ps: when we like something, eg: i luv my fz1-s bought at $xx,000. If someone offers me $xx/2, i also will upset. :( my precious u think ur cheapo offer is good enough!? U xxyyzz!!

BUT, its how we react and our behaviour in response to these situations tat define wat kind of person we r. :)

Really weird people nowadays. Lowball me and still scold me and now threatening me... If I buyer, I'll also offer around that price or lower but if you don't want, I can't be bothered, this guy is just a maniac. Stupid2 go and name his bikeshop somemore, now we know not to go there lor.

If I seller, I also wouldn't bother with low ballers.

But there's one sort worse than a low baller, one that asks you to come over their place, see2 look2, say want to buy but in the end create some fancy story. This one easy la, want? Deposit and I save for you, you no deposit, I no save. End of story.

Smart people would take out the accessories and sell them seperate. At least you get something out of it.

Dear PJ,

I have looked through the messages and pieced them in temporal sequence.

I felt that you have a role to play in this whole saga.

Without prejudice, looking at the messages starting at 21:31hrs which you posted, you have somewhat provoked his rude reaction.

Your reply on "how you got your license", "you cant afford", "WTF" ..etc are uncalled for.

The conversation could have stopped there and then, even if he is being sarcastic in his reply in his previous message.

It takes two hands to clap.

I do not condone his rude remarks, but PJ, you are not an angel either.

I hope after 5 years, xx can let go of the bike and keep extra money and buy another bike. of course after 5 years, must scrap. but if you look at per value, the bike cost only like $70 per month. if you take into account $3200 (value of bike) + coe $900 = $4100 divide 60 . thus if he were to save 70 a month until 5 years later , he would save 4100 and buy another bike by then. and he can also salvage whatever left of the bike like horn, wheels and such.

why do i care?? because i enjoyed babyblade. had 2 of them in the early 90s.

Most probably scrapping the bike and sell the parts... I already have a bike I'm looking at to buy... Hayabusa gen 1... But haven't get the license yet... No hurry though... Waiting for claims to come in first...

Agree with u... My tzm I scrapped and sold the parts, got back about $1.9k Coe rebate, parts additional $500-600 compared to the best offer of $2.2k... And mind u, I've still got more parts at home not yet sold... Lol...

If you can find a good condition Gen 1 then good la because its an old bike, IMO get Gen 2 better. Better resale too.

My mechanic specialise in gen 1. He told me gen 2 engine is smoother than gen 1, but gen 1 has better top end than gen 2? Not sure bout that. He said that... Lol

What's bugging me is i made a stupid mistake. Haiz... Along Nicoll Highway i was on the way to Millenia Walk to collect my watch which i sent for servicing. I just finished running in the engine only, so when i opened the throttle, the valve opened earlier, at 6.4k rpm rather than the 7k rpm before the overhaul. As i was filtering to left lane to make a left turn, i didnt look at my speedo until i felt i was going too fast. When i look down, saw 93kmph like that, i worry liao.

Sure enough, ytd receive TP letter, 6 points and $150 fine. There goes my perfect record...

This morning wrote in an appeal letter and faxed them my particulars. Hope they accept the appeal and waive off the points, i dun mind paying fine, but the points impt to me.

Then must play more safe now liao, no more +- 20kmph liao, strictly within speed limit.

That is just feeling, Gen 2 is an improvement on Gen 1, aftermarket ECU and pipes and you're good to go, besides both will do 300 easily, difference is mostly cosmetic.

Really ah? Hmm... But gen 1 I still might be able to afford it, gen 2 no need to think about it for me... Gen 1 about $9-10k, gen 2 about $18-20k...

Think e 1 who said tat is e small person himself. Big bike has alot of plus points vs small bikes of coz. But a rider tat does not ve e license or choose not to get e licence or buy big bike doesnt mean anything. Its just a choice.

Respect even as e rider managed to resist e temptation. :)

I concur. So long never check this thread now got many news.

What's bugging me now is that I'm feeling giddy after a cab back to my gf's place from my bike shop. Gonna take mrt now and I'm not sure if I can handle the journey... Damn motion sickness kicking in almost immediately after I stopped riding... :(
