Hi All Classic Bikes Lovers,

I am Costa here and i had just got myself a 110th Anniversary Triump Bonneville.

May i have some advice on those reputable bike shops to do up the bike. I ordered a couple of accessory online and would require their assistance.

Also if there is any meet ups for coffee / supper for some knowledge management sharing? :)

Thanks a million.

Costa

Congrats on your recent purchase!! I think I know who you bought the 110th anniversary model from!! Hahaha!!

What accessories did you get? If they are simple bolt ons I reckon any workshop will do. Or you can even DIY. But if you like the comfort of letting a professional do the work, you can consider places like Custom Burner, Vicious Cycle or Bike Fabricator who does plenty of bike customising. Or simply go down to Mah PL and look for Gary since they are the agent for Triumphs and I'm sure Gary knows the history of your bike as well.

Hi PaiKia, sorry to disturb you. Do you know whether Ah Anh has shifted? The last time I visited him, he was going to shift and not look for him to do any jobs until he has shifted.

Don't say disturb lah.... bikers should always help each other.

Ah Ann is still operating at First East Building. Was at his place last week.

He's always looking out for bigger premise. Currently his work space is rented from Andy who occupies half of the shop. But I don't think there's any confirm plans of move.

it is worth trading for a vespa vbb? is vespa vbb rare?

VBB is definitely rare... and a Triumph Bonneville is never rare... unless u are talking about Triumph pre Hinckley models. Triumph still sells the bonneville T100 as brand new bikes. The older 795 cc carbs started around at the turn of the millennium which is harder to find but can't be considered as 'rare'.

If owning a rare bike is what you are after... keep the VBB.

Bro.... very subjective question. Depends on your budget and expectations. U can go all out for a 50's vintage or a classic from 70's. Anything from 80's currently probably is considered collectible.

Or go for 90's bikes and cross your fingers they'll hold its value. You'll have to target the correct models else you might end up with just another old bike.

thanks for the info.. is there a shop or website i can go to visit?

I doubt there's any useful single website that have all the information but instead u'll probably have to read up different websites and forums on classic bikes models, maintenence and value.

And u also have to decide which category u r looking at.... Pre-war vintages, post war classics or post 70's collectibles, Japanese or European, scooters, Cruisers, street etc...

There are couple of shops that supposedly specialise in classic vespa but I can't point a finger at any that can be referred as specialising vintage or classic bikes although there are a few that does some restoration works. One that come to my mind is Combine Motor Trading although they are more into post 70's bikes and not the true classics/vintages.

Believe it or not.... you'll have more hope with specialised shops over the border in msia.

Brother 736cc, what model is this yellow honda?

Saw one at my car park. Wonder anyone selling.

Cb400four nc36.

Very rare bike in sg. You are lucky if owner plan to sell his. But parts is one issues as honda does not make ton of them. So only buy when the bike is in good condition.

W650 Cafe Racer

FXSTC Softail Custom

TW200 Tracker

Zephyr ZII Custom

Believe or not. This gold bike took me close to 8 month to restore. Parts can be only able to get from japan.

When I took over the bike, the head cylinder is damage. Engine down and park in the shop for 7 month. Worst of all, honda does not make the cylinder anymore.

I found 1 used set from japan, look good but same old problem after install. Have to down engine again. Zzz

I am lucky to found another set of head from Japan after close 8 month of search.
