Well, sometimes it depends on luck and fate. Alot of guys in this thread are also looking for CB750K series. Few yrs back, got the opportunity to buy a CB750K4 from Zoom'in but price was relatively high and in need of restoration so I gave up. Well, u still can opt for CB750F1 or F2 if u r lucky. These are also very gd machines.

As for Kawasaki, I can keep alookout for u.The pilot who I mentioned has two and he's letting go one of his which is a FE plate(COE renew) but only u can pay for his price. Roughly abt 4K plus. Any takers?

GPZ750/1100A1 models r air cool models if u r referring to the older half fair ones. Few yrs back, two 1100 were sold under some private owners. If I can any info, I will update u guys.

Yamaha RD500 or RZ500 still exists in S'pore. Really bang my balls for not buying a nicely done up RZV500r few yrs back. Damn ! There's quite a Handful under the careful hands of some active local collectors :sian:

Bro, you seem to know more than others about the RD/RZ500 scene for some reason. Why is that I wonder? Are you sure these are RD/RZ500's you refer to are not the 350 VPVS models?????? Got any leads that I can follow up on or any links to the owners???????? How many are there anyway????????????

"Quite a handful" to quote your own words. Can I ask you if you know who these collectors are and how I can contact them directly or through you????????

You mean you had an opportunity to buy an RZ500?????????? How long ago?????????? From Who exactly??????? Still got the contact info for me by any chance?????? No one else has helped me with as much info as you have regarding the RD/RZ500 . I am so very sorry to be such a pest but I reallllllly want one!!!! I will be able to die happy if I have one!!!!

I go everywhere and ask all the shops about this bike, they mostly tell me that the last RZ/RD500 was either ezported out of Singapore or sent to the junk yard some years ago now. None have been seen on the road for years ........ same goes for the Suzuki RG00 Walter Wolf and the RG500 Gamma. I am looking for these models as well. What happened to all these classic GP replica race bikes from the 80's????? Some must exist locally surely????? Just need you guys out there to point me in the right direction.

To my surprise, many bike shops as ell as our local bikers only know of the RD350's and have never heard of the 500's....... you actually seem to know of these bikes though...... one shop told me there is no such thing as an RZ500........ I assured them that there is such a thing, even though they have never seen one in the flesh, or so to speak.......... have you or did you hear about the bike from other local bikers ?????????

there are some old timers who are big bike collectors. they do not go around announcing their collection. these individuals have warehouses to store their machines and do not even ride them.

you either need a lot of time or deep pockets to restore classic machines in s'pore as we have crap support when it comes to classic's.

imho, there are minimal vintage machines left on the road and mostly what we see today, in terms of classics, are the remnants on the late 70's and early 80's if any. we do get the occasional machine from the 50's and 60's that they are indeed a rarity.

its great to see that there are still people out there who appreciate the older machines for their character and engineering achievements of that era.

parts and reliable/friendly/accomodating/not cocky/efficient mech's who can do the job has always been the true pain of a classic bike nut and I continue to believe it will be the same for a long time to come!

before getting a particular model, do check out on the particular faults of the machine to ensure that they can be sorted out. the cb's while generally tough bikes, which i love, have a chain driven primary gear, which requires you to completely split the crank cases to change.....

i know the location of a gpz1100 but it requires heaps and heaps and heaps of cash to rebuild.

the gs/gsx's are good machines to start a project on. you can still find some parts in s'pore.

That collectors got RZ500 and Suzuki RG Walter Wolf and the RG500, all bikes are in 100% condition but the price he asking will scare u off!

Anything time 8k above and full cash as he is a collectors not a shop.

Yes, 100% sure it's a RD500LC and has a RZV500R too. Not sure if his RG500 is done up but all cost a bomb to rebuild. Not e kind of bike to ride too often but more of a leisure track bike.

Hi JamesPorn1, I must say that you write very well and you seem to know quite a bit of stuff about the vintage scene here. Any way of finding out who these collectors are so I can approach them and try my luck? Can I also ask you please where that GPZ1100 is or where I can find a Suzuki GS1000 or GSX from the very early 80's..... any leads?

Thanks man!!
