This rain is really bad for our bikes. Today I felt my front brake lever doesnt retract back like it used to, after applying the brake and releasing it. I guess the rain has taken off some of the lubrication from some parts of the bike. High time I take it for servicing.

Wah that's dangerous. When I first got my bike the front brake lever doesn't retract properly too. I didn't realize it was a serious issue until my front brake seized and I crashed. Thankfully it was in the carpark at slow speed.

Be super careful when riding it to servicing!

happened to me b4, iirc, it's the brake oil that's contaminated, if u bleed out the oil, most likely all jelly, i forgot how they do, but looks like need to clean the pipe n service the calipers too.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

I'm up for it! guess its quite important to have hazard lights for a bike..

btw is it safe to do it on our bikes without any electrical problems?

tested n proven bro, just ask how many of us has done it n we'been using for years.

what's the worse can happen, i diy my brake lights today, but the cable accidently cross, pop, no power, lol. replace fuse, retify the error, all is well. now i need to buy another fuse, as that was my spare. :cheeky:

Bro, what you mean by seized? Was it wheel lock or the brake failed and you couldn't stop in time?

then while riding home bike fuse blow halfway

changed fuse and ride home

just as i was about to reach under my block the spare one blow

had to pushed my bike all the way to my void deck and rush to home fix to buy spare fuse

Ya I can see some rust in the back part of the lever that gives the spring effect. Not in the front part that has the cable.

yupz like what arthur say

can DIY yourself

the main reason i like to DIY is not for saving $$$ but cause i can learn and understand more about my black beauty

of course i will make sure i know the parts/things i want to fix/change before i DIY

learn from others 1st liao then you can DIY...

lol, u're really unlucky, btw, fuse blow still can kick start or push start, but u wont have lights or signal, just take care when u're riding out that way.
