@Alvin thanks man. I just realised there are screws connecting the ducktail to the fender upon a closer look. I guess that would be a 5min job. Thanks for the info for the parts. Still learning about my bike and motorcycles in general. 1month after getting it and im starting to love riding more than driving.

some scratches here and there, signal light dangling etc.

This rain is really bad for our bikes. Today I felt my front brake lever doesnt retract back like it used to, after applying the brake and releasing it. I guess the rain has taken off some of the lubrication from some parts of the bike. High time I take it for servicing.

 

Ya I can see some rust in the back part of the lever that gives the spring effect. Not in the front part that has the cable.

 

 

That thing is called .. master cylinder pump kit and it cost $45 with labour + top up brake fluid at UM

another common tear & wear for pulsar heheheheh

As I mentioned always .. accidents are part and parcel for all ... either we or them ... we will experienced it and what had happened makes us more aware and alert to ride or drive safely...

happened to me b4, iirc, it's the brake oil that's contaminated, if u bleed out the oil, most likely all jelly, i forgot how they do, but looks like need to clean the pipe n service the calipers too.

 

Do you know when to change brake oil/clean pipe/service calipers? Last time I went to UM for my 10,000 kms servicing and the manual say that is the time to change all this. But the mechanic said all fine and no need. What are the symptoms that these things need a change/service?

Man, if I had one more day I would have hit Thailand. This time only Penang and back in 3 days, but riding on the Penang Bridge is amazing...legendary...orgasmic! I made I think 4 round trips in the 1.5 day I was there.

 

1520 kms in 3 days, the only problem I faced was that a screw went missing near my front left indicator.

Do you know when to change brake oil/clean pipe/service calipers? Last time I went to UM for my 10,000 kms servicing and the manual say that is the time to change all this. But the mechanic said all fine and no need. What are the symptoms that these things need a change/service?

 

 

Its funny, if you look at the maintainance chart for P180 it says 30k kms but for p200 it says different.

I am sure both bikes have similar parts, then how come so much different? I guess it is the call of the mechanic. If they feel it is fine then no need to do anything.

just listen to the engine... make sure there's no sandy sound or any cluttering sound..

outlook of the bike,look out for rust,damage areas etc...

listen to the engine if there are any knocking or sound coming out of it while idling and riding it...

clutch and gear change also...

look out for the tires also,look out for the condition...

check if the bike has been in any accident etc...

when is the last servicing and what was done and/or changed...

also see if can find out when is the servicing interval...(if possible get all the servicing reciepts if you getting from the seller)

you head down to HKL and tell them what happen

then let them assess your bike

then they will advise from there

the helmets on the right and left are for my cousin n me. however my cousins helmet was stolen in Pulau Pinang. so i had to gave mine to him. sigh, it was bitter, but its all part of travelling. will tell u guys when we meet.

 

however, i did bot a flip up helmet for myself instead in Pinang. cost me RM400 = SGD170.
