any tips what to look out for ? how to test the bike ?

The engine is the main thing and its very tough to judge its condition unless you are expert or take a mechanic along. The price you are paying is the key. If you are paying like 1800$ or less for a 5 yr old P180 then its ok, you can still spend a few hundred dollars more to fix up anything. But if you are spending 2400$ or more then the bike better be in good condition. You need to see what things need immediate replacement, estimate its price and try and nego to subtract from the asking price.

the helmets on the right and left are for my cousin n me. however my cousins helmet was stolen in Pulau Pinang. so i had to gave mine to him. sigh, it was bitter, but its all part of travelling. will tell u guys when we meet.

 

however, i did bot a flip up helmet for myself instead in Pinang. cost me RM400 = SGD170.

Hey guys. Where can i get a belly pan and rear hugger for p200? Also im wondering whether any of you managed to change your front fender? My stock one has like a "ducktail" which i dont really like. Has anyone also tried changing the backlight of your speedo? Orange quite bland leh...

 

there is no after market off the shelf one in SG

front fender brandon is selling...

not sure if his is the custom one or the stock one

if not have to custom made

rear hugger also no after market off the shelf one is SG

hmmm need to wait a while as I have sent few pics on our P200 crash bar mounting and position ..

 

can send me few pics of UG3 or UG2 crash bar mounting and it's location for me to send to them? ..

 

these pics needed to have them redesign to our needs since we are using original crash bar ... in Indon they used aftermarket crash bar reason they do a big hole on the belly pan to have their crash bar mounted....

 

will update if they replied ... stay tune kekekee

 

btw anybody knows where ah pet been to .. hmmm need to pass him the UG2 damper asap since Indon asked me how the sample ... tried to contact him but failed ... sigh!

nope. he didnt tag along. he just told me to buy him a helmet for him. i locked both helmets inside d 2 side bags with padlocks. seems the thief was able to open the lock n took one of the helmets.

but there are people in india who did it...

nobody here has tried yet as nobody dare to try out with the electrical wiring parts yet

is hkl open tmr? my bike is at idac.. dont know whether i should ride it to hkl or tow it..

some scratches here and there, signal light dangling etc.

btw how does the claim work.. my $200+ watch smashed to bits.. my bike some parts broken.

if you wan to claim personal items.. make sure your police report has them.. if nt, the insurance from the other side will nt process the claims.. and you need to have the receipts.. no receipt.. rarely will get back any $$.. if you did not put it in police report.. can do claims through law firm.. same ting also, no receipt, hardly will get back any.. at most half your original value stated or current market value.. if you goin hkl.. call ah keong den they'll get the tow truck jackie to take it to the shop for you.. if you decide nt to use hkl services, den only pay for tow truck.. bt i haven gotten or met anyone who done better in claims den hkl for nw.. but i dun wan to find out more though.. IO probably on holiday or what.. call them again on monday morning..

Yoo yoo pulsarian.. I am now considering a pulsar ug 2 about 1.55k n ug 3 1.8k.. Coe ug 3 6 months longer.. Milage about the same.. What do u guys think what do I need to compare?? Like is there alot of diff between the 2 model?

I think the main difference between UG2 and UG3 is the digital speedometer and nitrox suspension.

Try to go back and add on to the police report? Should be able to add in important details that you forgot. Otherwise quite lame cos I'm sure people do forget when they are in shock or just had an accident.

Found some infos regarding ug2 to ugh upgrade..

 

Hmmmmm... Which one neh?

 

Upgrades:

 

Bajaj has worked intelligently, and you know where your money is being put to use. Although quiet satisfied with the UG2 P180, the newer upgrade has ironed out the little nits’ grits, minus the gearbox. The major upgrades includes:-

 

New front fairing – Smart move, noting much different, but why didn’t they thought of before?

 

Digital Speedo – good, although refresh rate is low, and fuel indicator is a waste. Still supports the Pulsar’s sportier stance.

 

L.E.D tail lamps, much brighter, and sporty

i doubt u cn get a claim for ur watch coz its personal stuff. nevertheless, get a lawyer to do it for u. get a shop to liaise wif ur lawyer abt all the repair cost. bear in mind dat u gotta pay e bikeshop 1st (usuali half), n wen get claim den either dey pay u back or cut e deficit. shops also dun wana make a loss. dats wad i encountered b4.
