So far the best f/c i achieved before was 42kml.

 

Far more better than my previous Z1000 of 18km/l and my 1098 14km/l.

i call a bike shop they recommend me japan bike... like yamaha..

 

cause they scare pulsar no parts like if the Sprocket spoil, is this a major concern for the part?

 

cause i now looking for a 2nd hand pulsar..

Yamaha Japan brand only. Yamaha FZ16 is actually manufactured and exported from India, Hehehe

 

Dont worry about pulsar sprocket spoil. I changed my sprocket at Ah Boy, Hehehe. Parts like sprocket, brakes, etc you can use aftermarket. Some parts I agree, you need to go to Bajaj dealer. But thats not an issue. They have stock always and also reasonably priced. There are lots of pulsars on SG roads now and it is tried and tested product.

oh then i recom u pulsar, cos yamaha scare something spoilt got no spare part.

bro, salesman talk, if someone tell u spocket spoilt got no spare part, that means they dont know anything about pulsar. spocket is commonly available, sinob is 1 example that can fit our bike. if they say engine spoilt no spare part i believe, cos ever happen, but is rare.

the only thing can comment on spare part is Um sell expensive. but there r other ways around depend what u want to do.

@arthur_chan what i meant is there is opening for extras in a drama series that requires bikes and the riders to be in the show.. so i'm looking for people who are interested.. mediacorp drama series.. haha..

bro,please do not get the impression that we are against UM...

just that they are the sole distributor for bajaj bikes and their prices are slightly on the high side...they are still a business and have to make a profit...

there are items that we can bring in from overseas and any problems we will still ask you to go back to UM as we know and have confident in the mechs there...

for insurance wise,it depends on a few factors...

age,brand of bike(they need to consider cost and availablity of parts in case of repair),vocation,riding experience...

yours is cause of your age and riding experience..less than 1 yr aka P Plate have to pay more...

getting a pulsar 180 ug2 at machine price $1.4k um service change some bulbs and filter $68.. then my insurance 620 (cheapest).. still got roadtax n transfer fee.. still got season parking.. wah so much $...

 

i scare buy liao then got alot of issue.. so keep cheaking around..

Why not take 3rd party insurance bro? 620$ for a bike costing 1400$ doesnt make sense

I luckily have 5 years riding exp and 30 years old. For me 3rd party was just 200$ @ NTUC

we are not rooting for UM or against them, just they have their pros n cons. we tell u everything, even the cons, so dont be scare becos of this. salesman talk will not tell u all these things, we ride our bike, we are happy, thus we share.

 

all bikes have their good n bad, even yamaha, n there's no perfect bike. like uncle mj said a lot of times, is it the machine problem or the rider? u take care of ur bike, ur bike will serve u well. getting a bike, u'll have to be commited, just like gf or wife, dont tell them u dont care about ur gf or wife once they agree to stay with u.

 

for 2nd bikes we have advised if u know some pros who know bikes, can bring him along to judge, otherwise get 1st hand, more problem free, more $ of cos. also the problem with luck, sometimes u can get a bike with problems after problems, usually 2nd hand, no brand specific.

 

it's good that u check around, my advise, dont rush into buying a bike. look for options n compare. i'm not promoting pulsar or discriminate yamaha, u decide what u want, salesman will only tell u one side of story, the good part.
