Bajaj went from #20 to #10 in ten years - power of the unbeatable PULSAR baby ! :cheer: :cheer:

Ducati from #19 to #14 - I think whoever own Minerva, the sole importer, is make a $%# load of money.

pulsar is just part of bajaj. rev, if u can find a breakdown of bajaj vehicles on the road, pls share :cheeky:

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

I dont think that breakup is available, in fact there is no breakup b/w class 2b/2a/2 either.

But Pulsar forms the bulk of the sales I would imagine. The rest being Avenger and XCD 135.

The 100 odd Bajaj vehicles prior to 2005 are most probably Bajaj Scooters that resemble the vespa that were exported to Singapore in the 80s

Interesting statistics. There are 2166 Bajaj vehicles in Singapore at the moment, about 1.46% of all vehicles. In 2005 there were just 198 vehicles i.e 0.1%. So in 5 years we have grown about 10 times. Impressive!

Other interesting fact. Only 18K more motocycles have been added to the roads in the last 10 years. Yamaha used to be at the top in 2000 now its Honda in the top spot. See how bad suzuki has done over the last 10 years!

Suzuki and Kawasaki both Japanese motor RIP. Only Honda and Yamaha still on top ranking.

Paggio also up market.

BMW all time are in niche market.

Thanks - had a look and yeah it's missing info but if it's only 1 year old it might be interesting. Are you interested ? If you are, you want to check the mileage, number of servicing done and where, which parts are stock and which are not anymore.

Then of course, viewing the bike will give you a better insight - I wonder how much it will be sold..

I think most petrol station do sell brake fluid. I saw SPC selling their own in-house SPC DOT 4 brake fluid. :)

My bike has suddenly become very smooth. Earlier I used to get a gargling kind of sound from the engine/exhaust. But ever since I am using Chex 9000 Fully Synthentic 10W50 EO, the bike has got smoother and smoother. I just love this EO. Also since I change my spark plugs just one crank bike starts no need to use choke.

Right now my bike is in the perfect condition and I am just lovin' it

Yea. I am also using this Chex EO. I believe this is the cheapest Fully Syn EO in SG since I only got it for $14. :thumb:

i bought my rjay riding pants from regina for $170. got paddin at hip n knee. can purchase a harder armor but e current 1 is good enough. i only use it for tourin or heavy rain coz its waterproof. can't use it on normal day coz e material doesn't let my skin breathe...hence..will sweat alot

Bro MJ , did you go through with getting yourself riding pants ?

I just came back from Motoworld, got me my first pair of riding pants : Komine PK-659

It's not easy to get the right pants. Besides the numerous options and choice in term of fabric, resistance, waterproofing etc, you have many different fits and cuts.

For me, the biggest problem was to find pants that fit my legs length and more importantly the placing of my knee. o_O

Anyway, I preferred the PK-700 style and cut over this model, but it didn't have full protection, only a pad on the hips and the hard protection on the knees.

The PK-659 has hips and butt padding, with hard shell for the coccyx, lower back padding as well as hard shells for knees and side of the thighs. Of course, what you gain in protection you tend to give out in looks: I look a bit like a snowman in the pants, but hey, peace of mind for me and my relatives.

I picked a big size so i can wear them on top of jeans or work pants, so I can just take them off if I'm at work or don;t want to walk around in them.

I haven't tried them for a ride yet, I'll wear them after work today on my way back hom and will let you guys know if it makes much difference.

I got it for 16$ from the Keng Seng shop that you told me :) Its not just about being cheapest, its also the best and can trump some of the well known brands. Many Phantom users swear by this oil. Its in the same league as Motul 300V Factoryline that costs around 30$.

This oil is very common in many bike shops in AMK industrial area, Tampines Industrial area etc. Its also available in bike shops like Unique motors and Planet motors. You can have a look at bike shops near you, you should be able to find it.

Yeah That's the thing with Riding pants, they dont get as much airflow as a jacket, so regardless how mesh they are, they will be less breathable because close to the hot parts of the engine.

I was about to take something lighter with just padding like yours, but I figured, if I'm going to wear something like this, I might as well go for hard armor.

I think riding pants like this are very difficult to pull for daily commute. Unless it's very cold or it rains outside. So living in a less warm country - definitely good to have. But here, me who's all for gear, I found it a bit difficult to wear: lots of padding and armor everywhere takes time to get used to it. But also it's bulky, and definitely not as easy to walk around in as jeans.

The pair I got are actually too short for me - when you try pants at the shop, no matter if you sit or squat, it doesn't give you a good idea of how it will be on the bike. On the bike, the pants go up much further than what I thought - so I'll check with the shop if I can get a longer size.

For touring or riding all day, they can be great I think. When you need something to ride in the cold nights, but also be ready for a fall in crazy Malaysia, they are exactly what one would need. And on longer rides, for a few days, it's the stuff you can wear all week and not worry.

Gaban, I'm surprised you haven;t invested in riding pants yet, it's perfect for road trips, they are super durable, excellent quality and basically I think you can wear them on and off road and be protected from water, dirt, grass, whatever.. ! :thumb:
