guys do u all feel that ur bikey is noisy? mine like very noisy ley.. i keep wondering if i am at 5th gear alreaady cuz of the noise..

sorry but im noob here...whats run in? like make the engine season? ya i bought 2nd hand..mileage below 15k..

 

and the auto signal cancelling is a pain man..like when you have to change lane before turning...have to turn it on again before you turn..or when you thought it didnt cancel, so you manually cancel it..but it actually did cancel so in the end got signal....

 

u dun hav to run in for 2nd hand bike.. just whack all u want!

 

Pulsar is quite big for a girl.. hmm..

Q. My speedometer bulb has blown. I wish to change it. However, UM only has standard yellow bulbs. I wish to purchase the bulbs elsewhere. However, I am not too sure what type of bulb to purchase.

 

I'm sure one of you enthusiasts should know, right?

 

Also I'm curious if we can replace our headlight with a halogen light. Sorry if the term/spelling is wrong. Incase you're not sure I'm referring to the super bright white type of headlight.

 

Any clues?

We need to know how many member want to fix this hazard light inorder to confirm the date and location. Also, our R&D need to go for purchase the part needed. P180 and P200 is welcome.

 

This is a non-profit DIY session. The aim is to equip our pulsar to have a better safety equipment when on the road.

Anyone any suggestions as to who is it best to look for at UM for 2nd hand P180s, or rather, who's the most pleasant / knowledgeable to deal with, can PM me the name? Or anyone also can? Any other trustworthy bike shops in the area? Don't wanna kena chop carrot head there. haha.

High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlight? Super bright, super illegal.

Mine noisy when it is between 60km/h to 70km/h so i can only choose to go below 60km/h or hit 80km/h. The 5th grear thing i always give extra kick to make sure i'm in 5th gear. But i notice when in 4th gear max i can go is 60km/h but 5th gear i can go higher. So something i also look at the speedometer to make sure hahahaha....

normal yellow blub use in own meter is call T10. can be bought at any bikeshop. quite cheap only.. but taking the head pcs outside quite troublesome.

 

maybe u wan can one shot change all bulbs to led wan..

can MO page. look for a person called M400. he sell bight leds.

difficulty in changing gear can also be attributed to a worn shaft. which can be attributed to overly rough gear changing.

 

that particular bit costs 25 bucks.

 

the more you use the bike, the easier it will be for you to troubleshoot any problems.

hope $25 solves the prob den... jus now went UM too late den got liek 7bikes queue-ing up... nid to go tml =(

The problem may lies with your gear lever being loose,check the nut holding on to it.If not it may lies with the type of engine oil you use,or its time to change your engine oil liao.

 

i changed my EO at UM 200+km ago... haha...

every shop has ways 2 make money. how old r u? for those who r around 19 yrs old, their insurance is around 1k. i bot a 2nd pulsar for 4k +, on d road price which means machine price + insurance, i think road tax also included.

well, careful which shop u r going, if u pay by installment, some shops require u to hav 2 garantors, like me, cos im young, p-plater, hip n happening. if u wanna pay full, den go ahead. the older u r, the cheaper ur insurance.

 

as 4 d bike itself, pros: gd fuel consumption, gd 4 singapore roads.

cons: rare parts, only can get at UM, but things like engine oil n spark plugs, u can get it anywhere depending on size. maximum speed limit, 130km/h.

u can whack harder than that but ONLY IF UR brain needs rewiring. hahaha!!

visual wise, the bikes cool.

dunlop is ok ok. its like 2nd place of battlax(bridgestone).
