hi the mirror screw thread for pulsar is like that , if i am not wrong this is a " yahama thread. tis is what my mechanic told me , he helped me use a tool to make it into a normal type.

 

yea. its yamaha thread. yamaha thread differ with honda thread..

when i first got my pulsar two years ago, i straight away go to ah boy and get myself a super4 mirror only come to realise at home that it cannot be fit. than i got myself a FJR400 mirror and it fit nicely..

 

but i come to know also that some of the bruders here can fit super4 mirror. so either the older batch without the kill switch is yamaha thread and the later is honda thread?? dun know lah...

I am not active in this forum until now, but regularly reading all your messages since late last year. wanted to participate with you guys but some how...can not make it all the way.

I bought my Pulsar(red) in Jan 2008 from UM, and happy all the way riding my bike. 15liters petrol gives me 620-640 KM@80KM avg speed. My speedo shows now 2400KM, So far so good.

 

I am from India (SingPR), two of my brothers also riding Pulsar (one red, one black) for last few years back in India. Last week i got tank bra from my broter (India), he bought it for 120 rupees (S$4/- approx). I will try to help you guys to get it, am trying to meet you guys during your regular meet ups. see you later.

the time where I and the 30 other riders.. at SSDC , passed the Traffic Police Test..

Not those chrome parts. your whole exhaust pipe is black in color, as time passes, the paint will burnt off and in the worst case rust will start to show.

 

To prevent that, what people usually do is remove the original paint that is remaining, and respray with new VHT paint. VHT paints are able to withstand high heat, usually around 400 degreeC to 700 degreeC for those commonly found in hardware shops.

I have done, plug change, EO change, Alarm installation w remote start, Hazard lights, auto start wif key - meaning juz turn the key the bike auto will crank its engine..., Tire change on NSHW, voltmeter installation, stebel horns installation and digital meter bracket strengthing.

 

Nemesis_5k have done all of the above too. but his more happening la his bike is fast n have alot of lights etc fog lights, under seat lights, under tank lights, engine cooler.

 

Nemesis anymore things to add?

Bro can tell me which shop u go to? cause i just bought a mirror and wanna fix it but failed purely because of the thread. if it can changed.. i would love to changed asap.. hehe. thanks alot bro!

 

It could be the neutral sensor. Try this and see if it works,

 

1. Clutch in

2. Press the starter, if it do not start, hold the starter don't let go

3. While holding the starter, turn your handlebar all the way to the left and right. (If it starts, check your starter button wiring)

4. If it does not start, while holding the starter button push and roll your bike while in neutral gear. (If it starts, check your neutral sensor)

5. If it does not start, check your battery and engine starter, push your signal switch if no lights, check your fuse.

6. If still cannot find anything, then could be a loose connector in the wiring.

 

I am facing the same symptom, usually it is my neutral sensor. I didn't bother to do anything, no point spending that kind of money. Usually a bit of rolling will get the bike to start.

 

You can also try tapping your gear lever lightly while in neutral and pressing the starter at the same time.

 

i've tried playing with the wires just below the tank at the handle bar... most of the times it works.. but sometimes sway sway stall in the middle of busy road... wanna electric start cannot sia... haha sianz. i've done wat u told me above... and it works perfectly! haha. but.. it's still a flaw... even after going to agent it's still happening... not so nice hor...

 

anyways i'm loving my bike!!!

ohh... then would like to see how the lighting goes with the bike in real life then. cos i simulate the different colour lighting using the game need for speed. but most colour dont seems to go well with red.

No prob man, just helping a fellow pulsar bro.

 

Anyway I am used to it already. Usually the mechs at universal will set the idling a bit to low to my liking. It has caused the "stall at the traffic lights syndrome" before. My case is I am very big size (heavy), with the mechs setting, if I am slow with my throttle the bike will stall (not enough throttle to move me) This is what I learn at the bike lessons. One of the instructors told me I have to throttle more than others because of my size if not my bike will keep stalling when trying to move off.

 

You might want to increase the idling rpm if you experience stalling when you are trying to move off at a traffic light junction.

During DIY installing both should be ok cos my memory is still quite fresh on wat to do for both.

Please check wif nemesis when the DIY is. cos i oso dunno.

 

 

Hazard lights - $15 materials included.

 

Alarm - Price defers from $20-$60. if ur model is UG3 cost more for extra materials needed to make the alarm workable for remote start.

 

Alarm u need to purchase urself as i have problems giving warranty period if the alarm i bought is faulty.Previously that was y the alarm installation stopped cos nemesis and i found out that the supplier we had, alarms have some stupid prob that cannot be resolved.so the main pt is get ur alarm we get the stuff needed with the installation n install for u. EZ for both sides.
