finally pumped full tank after riding till E haha bike stalled twice even when in reserve.

 

full tank 15.88 litres

usually people steal helmets when they want to pillion someone and do not have a second helmet, so they just help themselves on someone's bike.

Wasn't it locked or did they cut it out ?

Check out the garage sale and sgbikemart + classifieds (gumtree etc..) for ads.

Price really depends on many things.. We've seen 4 years old bikes selling at 3k recently..

Things that impact the price besides the age of the bike & COE left on it: mileage (number of kms done on the bike, average for normal commuting use is 10-15k km per year), overall state of the bike (rust, scratches, missing parts, bent parts, dirt, grim), accessories, engine state (tricky to determine without riding the bike, but engine sound, overall state of the engine can be signs).

How come so little ? Stopped pumping early ? Even if you see the petrol, you can still pump a good 1L, 1.5L without even getting to the brim and still leaving enough space for the cap to close without overflowing.

The way the fuel tank's funnel is made kinda gives the impression it's full when actually, there's plenty space to pump more

Also, if you're in the mood to get the most bang for your bucks, pump at night when it's cool and cold.

oh wells its my first pump anyway so i wanna see how much i can get. am hoping to reach 600 clicks again. this bike makes me smile.

 

but sadly im still facing the problem of having it hard to get started,need to use kickstart and choke and kick a lot of times, the pushstart is kinda useless =/

 

a fren of mine riding pulsar 180 told me its a rectifier problem, anyone care to have your inputs? coz am not sending it to universal yet as my pocket is still dry =/

whats your idling rpm when cold?

around 1k to 1.3k but when idling at traffic light will be around 1.5 to 1.8k

If its not the spark plugs, fuel and air filter, when was the last time you tuned your carburettor, cleaned it and changed the diaphragm?

Bro, some low lifers as such. I think they took yours as they might need it urgently. Don't sat helmet, my tyre valve caps also got swiped just because they are blue in colour. Some of this faggots are really irritating..... That's life bro.

Best advise, keep the helmet in your box even for a short while. If not enough space, then get a Pelican box like mine...hehehehe

i locked it to an external helmet lock, he/she/they burnt the strap and took the helmet away, just leaving the two d-rings hanging there.

Jet Needle setting all this while using mid range (clip at center) set up

This was the conical thing I was asking about.

Last time when Jackie washed carb he said that it is worn out. But holy **** man, the conical slider price is 85$.

Right now I feel my bike lacks power a bit, especially morning when it is cold, at low rpm around 3k even though I throttle the pickup is not proportional, so I need to move to higher gear and leave the clutch suddenly to get that kick. It pinches only when I need to overtake, but otherwise it's ok.

 

Not sure if my sprocket ratios is the culprit or the slider. I am thinking of just not spending anything more on this bike and get a couple of thousand Kms on it and then take a call

 

But with my daily mileage only 16 Kms its going to take a long time. I Used to love my daily rides on TPE from ang mo kio to changi and back. Sigh missing those days

I think 18$ but if you change diaphragm also they give discount. Total 32$. Diaphragm alone cost 25$ I guess. I may be wrong with the prices,changed so many things that I forgot all prices haha

Hey guys, don't think anything negative as in i come here only because of issues of problems...but one, i miss you guys and riding n touring n chilling out together....two, i have few issues that most of yall know or none of yall know...

 

Basic common wear and tear issues are:

 

1) Sinnob chain so loose that when i pillion the other day..it sort of "drop"..drop as in not out of the sprocket..but just loosen itself..lol..it ain't funny i know..dangerous too...so now i have to get new Sinnob sprocket..how do i go about? i seems lost at everything...

 

2) I think my oil seal leaking? Its near the block..spark plug area. Had this issue last few months back when i went servicing..Ah Teck told me need to change...$35 or something? hmm..

 

3) Cone bearing? ahh..this annoys me...handle shaking more than shakira or beyonce..let alone J.Lo...need to enquire how much..hmmm..

 

The most irritating,annoys and bugs me the most...worried like hell...isssss...jeng jeng jeng!

 

1 & only) I don't know if y'all know of this issue...i have this what i call.."RPM 6" issue...when i start my bike..the sound normal..when i ride off..the sound normal..all normal..till i reach around RPM 5.8 to RPM 6.1..around 87km/h to 90km/h...there's this sound that omg!...sounds like ice shaver machine..ice kacang machine when its activated and shaving ice...it will only go away once i hit RPM 6.2 or 91km/h and above...so before RPM 5.8/87km/h...the sound ok...RPM 6.2/91km/h and above till RPM 8..9 or 10..regardless what speed im on...it be normal..no ice kachang machine sound..lol....any of you experience this issue before? First suspect is the piston or piston ring...second suspect...something is loose and when i reach that point..rpm 6 or so..the vibration is tremendous hence producing that iceshavermachine sound...thats about it.

 

Btw...im running close to 4000KM without change EO change already(the longest ever)....haha..waiting for the lovely MJBS to pass my EO and also help me order Sinnob...i love you uncle! hehehe
