mj i just wonder,i notice the tyre is bigger, will having bigger tyre save more on fc? coz i noticed ever since i changed mine to dunlop my full tank mileage drops by 40 to 50 km compared to the larger MRF tyres i was using

YEs .. Battlax are very good tyres .... No need to regret for safety r more priority !! .. Have been using the Battlax for 2 cycle change for my ride before decided to change feel for other option ... :)

However other option for budget constraints you can opt for Dunlop or Shinko or IRC ...

I just changed my rear tyre couple days ago from Shinko 130/70 korea ( $80+ at dat time 1yr 5mths life span) to IRC Road Winner (Thailand) 140/70 ($105) ... tested on both wet n dry weather ... seems ok with stability n comfort during ride ... actually still prefer Shinko 130/80 $95 but dun noe how eventually opted for IRC ... hahahaha

my new tyre ... loving it :)

haha yeahh would love to try the other options too.. so far my fav is battalax and dunlop..

well but i would say larger tyre seems more comfy for riding and cornering though.:cheeky:

agreed! i would try another bigger size of my rear tyre at the next change..

Wow round island ride. If only bikes coe and insurance were lower like old times. Else I don't have to save up to 9K for a bike that I would love to ride.

Experienced guys - how many percent you can bargain from Universal motor for new bikes ?

Just saw yellow 200ns at Haig road F**9163*. Looks good.belong to anyone in the forum ?

Actually i do not know if my signal light is spoil or bulb blew. Signal was working fine before I had a minor accident, scratching a car in the process and my bike fell lightly to the side. 2 Days later i realised the rear signal wasn't working anymore. Any chances that its just the bulb?

Ever find a gold nugget? Large amounts of people want to find and possess the gold nugget, but it i sreally hard if you don't use a tool to hep you find such kind of precious metal as they are always buried underground and it is hard for you to know where they are and how deep you should dig. And that is the main reason that why the metal detector for gold was invented and have help people a lot in hunting for gold nugget, and it seems the gold metal detector is realy an reliable device.

I intend to install just a topbox, no side cases.. Put in maybe a helmet and raincoat.. So I think that the 33L version is good enough.. I did some research and saw that the box can get ard 500.. So plus bracket I'm looking at a budget of ard 600+?

While on the subject, any other alu-looking top boxes to recommend?

if just for normal items there are cheaper boxes out there...

givi and kappa 45/46L boxes cost $100+ including base plates...

but then its your choice...

if the trekker series fits your budget and puts a smile on your face, then go ahead to get it...

its your choice though...

could just be some loose wire connections

Hari, There was only 1 accident rite?

You mentioned your insurance company said that the driver claiming 3k?

Then from where this 15k came?

There cannot be 2 amounts.

Basically, you dont need to respond or worry about this matter. You should direct the 15k claim to your insurance company. That is what the insurance is for. The amount doesnt matter. What will happen is an investigation will take place and then if you are found wrong, then your insurance company will pay that amount. Usually it wont be 100% your fault. It will be a percentage like 50-50, 70-30 etc. The insurance company will pay only that percentage of amount corresponding to your fault. i.e. if you 50% at fault. The insurance company will pay 50%, the rest the car driver has to fork out. You just dont need to worry. You maximum loss is the additional premium loading.

The worst case scenario for you is, if the amount claimed is really as big as 15k, then your insurance company may refuse to insure you in the future. Also other insurance companys also may refuse to insure you in the future. Remember this is the worst case scenario. I am not saying this will happen. Its unlikely to happen especially if its your 1st accident.

I had an accident last year and the driver claimed 3k and it case is still going on. Its already 1 year. So these things can take a long time, 2-3 years also easily.

Under the legal section, I have posted my accident case and I have got some valuable responses. I will check if I can find that thread.

Yes rev, only 1. Think the insurance company's estimate is 3K after preliminary checks. Later the fellow submitted total bills for 11,500 and other costs totalling nearly 15K.

Its pretty unsettling in my mind mostly because there seems no clear guidelines on what is right and wrong. For now, I just leave it at the good hands of the insurance company.
