I see alot of Bajaj riders are still going to JB. With the recent price hike isn't it almost the same to pump here?

I usually pump Shell 92 or 95 here but VPower in JB. The cost difference used to be about 50% less when pumping in JB. I heard from a friend though that now the difference is only about SG$7-8 dollars. Ofcourse you get a better grade fuel but is it worth enduring the jam?

Just curious if you guys can update this thread with the current fuel prices.

P.S. If it is worthwhile I might go in on Sunday night (2-3am).

Just came back from JB

Leave hse 10.10am (Pasir Ris), Reach home abt 12pm

Pump 13.7L x RM2.7 = RM37 ($18)

Sg - 13.7L x $2 = ($27.4)

Save - $9.4

Time - 2hrs wasted

For pulsar still can save abit, but 2A/2 bike wont save much for me, cos i live almost end of the east

Just service my bike @ Unique motor

Damage: $28

OWS 800 Fully Synthetic (From Germany)

- 2 Denson Spark plugs

- Tighten chain

Very good service, 20mins done, no waiting time ! My first time change to Fully Synethetic Oil, normally go Ah boy buy $8-10 cheap engine oil & change myself.

Result : I felt my bike more responsive ! Thumbs UP unique motor!

i prefer Semi-Syn EO that has a rating of 20W50.

For one its cheaper. And its also more viscous, so it will soak up the vibrations better. This comes at a cost of slightly more sluggish response.

To make my ride feel ever more pleasant, i add in a minute amount of STP EO additive, to make the EO in the crank case ever more viscous.

Thats my mentality, since for me the pulsar is a work mule, not a racing stud.

Just a friendly reminder: Just because you pour in better grade EO, doesnt mean that you can leave the EO in for a longer period of time. Better grades offer better performance, not better protection.

Im going to 2nd link to pump some petrol for my G4 later tonight at 12. If you wish to join me, just have a look at my profile for my contact no, use what i put in ICQ number as my mobile no.

Buy ciggies? I thought you're no longer permitted to bring 'em in even if it's an open pack? Either way I don't smoke. The exhaust from other bikes at the causeway is enough smoke for me. Hahahaha.

Also, sadly, often times when I go I travel alone. Firstly, its due to the odd and unpredictable time when I decide to go. Secondly, its because most of my friends ride bigger bikes and don't find the ordeal worthwhile.

RM2.70 is still cheaper than Singapore prices but like you said the time taken might not be worthwhile for most.

By the way I've noticed something about the way Singapore highways are structured. It's almost as if the gahmen has designed them to ensure vehicles have to travel the same long distance to Woodlands no matter where they depart from.

For example, I reside in Eunos. Taking the PIE (Eunos Link exit) all the way to Woodlands is about 27km. I've taken the TPE/SLE from Pasir Ris before too (exit near Courts) and the distance was about the same. When I travel from work (Shenton Way) I go through Adam Rd exit to BKE and again oddly enough its about the same distance.

Here's the real kicker. I just to go to JB after my 2A bike lesson at Yio Chu Kang (SSDC) and again it's about 20+km!!!!!

Weird isn't it?

I recommend u to get the 180.

Y?

1. no radiator hence lesser prob wun have leaking from radiator if kena stone or pebbles.

2. the tires used r smaller than 200 hence better FC although 200 i believe oso can hit 600km+++ on full tank

3. we have pple in here so acustom to fix or solve potiential probs regarding 180 UG2 or UG3. We or i personally havent touched any 200 yet.

4. 180 uses only 1 litre EO, 200 uses slightly more hence u need to buy 2 btls of eo when oil change, if the shop is gd then u only pay for the extra 200-400 ml

5. The interface of 180 n 200 is almost the same. only the bore stroke for 200 is longer than 180.

6. Insurance confirm cheaper than 180.

I believe the above 6 points will encourage u to get 180 instead of 200. but if u like a sporty looking bike and have $$$$$ pls go ahead with ur heart abt 180 or 200.

Pls take the above as consideration only. the final choice is still up to u.

First hand or second hand is oso up to u. bros here have bought well maintained 2nd hand bikes, while some have faced weird prob in their 1st hand bikes. its all abt luck.

But 1 thing for sure, u r going to love the FC which is uncomparable with any bike in terms of fuel capacity n mileage in 1 full tank rite now in Spore.

I need to noe whose UG3 has alarm being installed and r intending to install alarm.

y?

Bcos UG3 as i encountered b4, if the engine is cranked b4 the digital meter finishes 1 rd the trip meter MAY sometimes reset automatically.

Hence i have integrated the current timer system into a smaller than half a lighter size black box which will delay the engine cranking if remote start is used.

This timer system is NOT definitely needed but i would say it is important to have it.

The first prototype is finally out and i need to see how many of u pple out there needs it as the IC im using is not avaliable outside except in my wkplace and will rush to finish all the needed pieces by end of this month if possible. Those bros that r proposing to have their alarm installed by me will also need to buy the timer system(TS), price will be confirmed once i fit everything into the first black box.

1 month WARRANTY will be give for the TS so no worries.

i need ur help to list below who is intending to install alarm with REMOTE START for UG3 ONLY by me(lindavw).
