hhahaha ... bro, I don't mean to not to agree with you but you must see from all sides of factors ...

yes may be I do agree with the cruising along highway but what happens if you are travelling at busy road with lots of traffic lights? ...

Cruising at top gear yes will have your fc low but if you travel at stop and go road, you are not using top gear but will have to change gear often at low speed and braking often too due to stop and go at heavy traffic, jamm and traffic lights etc .. with this kind of riding your fc will definitely affected ..

So to be nuetral... it's back to the rider skills in controlling the bike .... if one have a good riding skills and tactic .. he will surely maintain his fc low ...

just my thoughts only and btw keep up the good riding habit

hehehehehehehehehehe :)

i disagree, changing to smaller spocket will cause decrease in power, in the same situation as in go stop scenerio, smaller spocket will save more fuel in the case the rider is the same.

mentioned above, power is the key, lesser power consume lesser fuel. so really depends what u want to sacrifice. stock might not be the best choice in all cases.

btw, gear set does not have any implication on spocket. whatever gear u're on, it still runs on the same spocket.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Price is good. 60-70K mileage is a lot for a 4 years old bike. What do you guys think? May be he toured around malaysia or was using the bike for despatch/delivery. So it is very important that you check the condition of the engine. Has he ever rebored it? Rebored engines are not good I guess. I am not sure. I will let the others comment on it.

Regarding the sound, yeah you need a mechanic to judge it if you are not expert.

my bike about the same age, i've not reached that much, 50k. if for despatch, it would have gone 1 round, but then very hard to spot meters that have gone 1 round. assuming it's not despatch, i suspect touring. btw u can ask for his record of his last major service. imo, the price is so-so, unless i get an expert to certify everything is ok, i might consider getting second/third opinion or other bikes. i suggest not to rush into things like this and consider carefully. my 2c. :cheeky:

i'm using caltax eo from m'sia, est 24 ringit. semi-syn 20-50 i think.

this bike is made for using cheap eo n petrol, in india heard they're using 92. however here n m'sia dont have 92, min is 95. i'm pumping 98. pumping higher octane petrol will degrade ur diaphram faster, i've experienced b4, but i feel that m'sia esso f1 (98) give me better milage than 92 and more than justify for the cost of replacing diaphram. however personally feeling shell 98 is too powerful.

how much is it to change the diaphram?? how much further can u clock with 98 than 92..

FYI, there are still 92 at some shell station and esso..

by the way, how much is it to change the side stand to a longer one.. abit troublesome to put down main stand all the time.

hahaha .. a legendery UG2 has spoken hehehe :cheeky:

btw imho I think you misunderstood my post .. and I won't debate on your post but do remember gear ratios do play a part to have your fc manageable... similar with throttling, braking, clutching lever, shifting gears, mass weight, height, body fatigue, nutritients, temper, planning, eo, spark plug, filter, tyres and so on .. all are related.

It is up to the rider him/herself to manage his bike and riding skills to have the fc to it's optimal ... yes! .. a sacrifice one has to take.

Road in Singapore are basically flat ... so to change to a smaller sprockets at rear yes they perform wonderful .. cruising at gear 5 will be at an advantage but when you go up malaysia or should we just try up hill hmm Mount Faber maybe or Jurong Hill Top the least .. at low rpm and which will suffer most if the rider is not skill enough to handle the situation? Know what I mean ..

Stock OEM have been tested on situations and conditions to balance for better fc at different road conditions ... and thanks to the TEC exhaust and long lasting stock digital cdi with TRICS III technology reason why our Pulsar have fantastic fc...

here maybe I'm wrong too different rider different approach ..

but that's my 2 cents only .. be happy happy ok ...

oh btw too ...

as in archery too we follow the same guideines

POWER = speed + distance

whether a rider want it to be front, mid or end .. a sacrifice indeed one has to take... :thumb:
