UM usually only deal with original parts.. plus their workshop is always packed with bikes. these kinda installations are best done elsewhere. but also ask around first before committing.. to save some bux :D

Breadman, could you please recommend a shop where I can buy and install the hella horn, that is not UM ? Maybe some shop around the Serangoon area if possible ?

Hi Bajaj team members,

I am v keen to get a bajaj pulsar as i just pass my 2b. I posted some enquires on the bike some time ago. I was recommended to approach the UM to ask abt the price since it is the official distributor.

However I keep on reading the previous posts made, I saw quite a few anti UM remarks. So why is that so? is it bcos UM sell too expensive or other wise? Is there any OTHER shops that u all find it realiable that also sell pulsar? Thanks

when the mech installing i chatted with him and know that need to use up the spare fuse in our fuse box for the horn relay

spoke to jason and chris while waiting and got to know that UM might not bring in the Pulsar 135LS & that the 135LS comes standard with the side rack for ladies wearing the sari so that they can face the side while on the bike

Welcome

Anti UM comments?

even if you were to go other places for 1st hand bikes, they will still approach UM for pricing and get the stock.

For 1st hand ones UM is the best place to go for

their pricing is very transparent

just drop by and say that you are interested to have a look at the bike and ask for pricing and stuff

feel free to also ask questions here on pulsar and we will try our best to answer.

if you like you can also drop by at our official or unofficial meet ups to know more about our pulsars :)

Thanks everyone for the feedback on my mirror problems.

Just a few comments :

What's bbdc ?

They work, I completely agree, but it's not the mirror themselves, I tried adjusting, but no changes, and I'm not sure I have enough space to move them further from the center of the bike to gain a better view, hence the need for another mirror stand or mirror altogether.

It's not how I adjust them, as much as they do not fit my size, maybe if I was shorter, I wouldn't have a problem..

I don't think I have space, but I'll have a better look this evening.

Hahah, yeah good one for the hand

How tall are you ? I bet around 6 ft something.. am I right ? I lean too, exactly like you describe, to clear the mirror from my left arm. I think it's where it's positioned, probably a small Indian did the quality control on that one, should we write to Bajaj asking they test their mirror position without discriminating against tall people? :D

About the horn :

How much did you pay ? How much they cost new ? And how much did the installation cost you, did it take long ?

Congrats on your new horn, I'm sure it'll save you from unpleasant incidents..!

I am 5'11 - but why would the height obstruct your view in the left mirror but not the right one? I am definitely not cockeyed, so that cannot be an issue. I personally believe that it is because the way I position the right side of my body is not the same as the left. I use my wrist and arms much more on the accelerator side, whereas its mostly hand and fingers on the left.

finally got rip off my old stock chain tat had served mi most 2 yrs, for past 2 weeks had been riding at 80km/h max n enduring e noise fr e chain due to e slack which had reached it max(can't tighten further)

when i fixed up my sinnob spocs n rubber damper, i feel so happy finally life back to normal n with a beautiful red "rare"sproc, although i knw it will eventually turn dark/dirty cos i m not those who will care abt e outlook of my bike. total damage $12 @ UM.... overall satisfaction lvl 7/10 cos they scratch my rear sproc.... :sian:

here's my feedback for both items....

1)stock damper compare to rubber damper fr mj e new one look more solid n stronger, better quality oso, but i noticed when fitted into e rim e sproc base cover cant b cover completely compare to stock damper mayb e new one too thick. tis is not a big issue as long as e base cover is properly aligned n covered, it wun not drop out cos clamped by both swing arm.... so dun b alarmed when u see it not sit in completely for p200, on p180 i m not sure.

2)sinnob sproc wise, like wat mj mentioned in earlier posts e frt sproc locking machanism need to b modified a bit b4 it can lock e spoc in place. rear sproc wise no mdification is rqd direct fit. i agreed after installing vibration n noise generated by chain will b reduced due to e add'l plastic guard around e rear sproc that guide e chain in place when moving.

i term of performance, thr is slightly more stress on engine as compare to my previous spocs size(14, 36). it rqds slightly higher rpm to achieve e same speed. If compare wif stock sproc these one definitely better cos ease e engine stress. n abt e same price fr UM stock sprocs (whole set)n u get to choose ur own colour. :thumb: :thumb: But imho, i thk e main disadv fr tis sinnob sproc is we can't opt for chain wif o-ring..... mayb wait till e plastic to wear out. hehe

@hvc n mj due to e present of these plastic guard we must regularly maintain n check our chain free-play if not when too loose it will grind off or wear out e plastic faster, even worst our chain dun hav e o-ring to absorb/cushion e widening.

for me :sian: bcos of tis plastic guard i had to redesign/ re route my diy oiler so it can served it purpose(yes, i m very lazy i knw)..... mayb will join e gang in next diy session.....

btw, i thk $6-8 should b reasonable cos tat power relay cost ard $2-3 at least i thk.... but if u buy whole set usually is included.
