juz a ques.. anyone knows whr to buy protective film for stickers?

protective sticker or reflective sticker? n where u wana paste?

i know the biggest home fix i saw is at vivo, b1, drop by there if u can't find. ^^

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Sinnob PO update .....

please note for those P180 ... you need to remove the stock chain guard and have to get P200 chain guard. Little modification needed to have it fit on your ride.

waa, i still love my stock chain guard. p200 where got chain guard?

anyone has any idea if our bikes can use H4 12v/60/55W bulbs?

i think 40w n above will melt ur plastic. pulsar cowling is not made for heat resistant. i think i tried 40w for my pilot b4, during testing time, i burnt my hand n it melted my bag's plastic.

I always go to Mustapha. I don't know about TWD, but for all the currencies I've changed there, may it be US/euro or local currencies (Indo ringgit, MYR, THB etc..), they've always served me with a better rate than other money changers and when i compare with friends traveling with me who changed their money elksewhere, I always have the better rate .

So now, I just stick with them, they're open 24/7 so you can go change there last minute the night before your trip, and they are very transparent and consistent in their rates.

iirc, the best rate is in raffles, but they only operate in office hrs. or u could try chinatown, there's 1 particular shop that always long Q. orchard also got good rates, but u need to find which shop offer best but the shops r not closely pack together. good luck. ^^

its not customized by the rider

it is the pest control/sanitisation company's bike

this is the sanitisation side one

they also have riders on pulsar for the pest control side

if you notice can see alot of them on the road

Whether customized by a company or a rider, it;s still a customized Pulsar meaning not a stock one :) I never saw the pest control ones, but this one made me smile because I see their logo everyday at work when I go to the ladies :p:p:p

i think 40w n above will melt ur plastic. pulsar cowling is not made for heat resistant. i think i tried 40w for my pilot b4, during testing time, i burnt my hand n it melted my bag's plastic.

I've read that if you change the coil plate, to an Avenger 180 one, you can put a stronger bulb, up to 60W ! And without melting anything. That's why I asked the question some pages ago, but everyone totally ignored me :nono::nono::nono::nono:

So if anyone here knows what a coil plate does, how it affects the rest of the electronical set up of a Pulsar to change it's coil plate, I'd be happy to learn more

Wow.. Had the same thought too for protecting my stickers, we could see who are interested and get a roll(to divide to the cost. As I have done Race Shield b4, and it's awesome but pocket burn hole.

The places I did was the Tank side, one seated cover, head light and front Mud Guard cost almost $400. That was for my previous ride.

So see whose interested we can do a let's say a MO for it, depending on the price of the roll if too ex too than we discuss other alternative. :bouncefire:

Just sharing a few things I saw on the road these days:

- a motorbike u-turning on red light, to take advantage of all traffic stopped at the junction, to not have to wait for oncoming traffic to clear the junction or for the green arrow.

- a motorbike arrived at the stop line on the left lane when the rider wanted to turn right. Not a problem, he rode his bike straight along the stop line, placing himself in front of the right lane's first car, perpendicular to the lane, ready to move off to turn right. (The first thing that came to my mind when I saw that is "Allllamaaaaak!")

- A scrambler was playing Sonic on the express way, jumping from lane to lane, dancing around cars at 90km/h+. The rider was carrying a pillion, who was wearing flip flops, a tank top and shorts. I imagined how playful he would feel if he crashes and his pillionette ends up like she just had a sandpaper massage....

- An uncle on a phantom decided to cross Jln Bukit Merah from side to side, while traffic was coming towards him and all lights green. All that to stop at the other side of the avenue to get something from the 7/11. :slapforehead:

I'm not a good rider yet and I am still learning many things, but when I see other riders do stupid stuff on the road, I think about how road users perceive us and how it's up to each and everyone of us to show them that bikers can be responsible, safe and respectful of rules and others on the road !

So please, from time to time, let's think about how we ride, and what we can do to improve our riding, and be safer for us and for the others, because it's often too late that we finally learn our lesson...:weep:

Why would you want to protect your stickers ? Is it from scratches ? Or UV/Rain so the colors don't fade ? Sorry for the silly question, but I'm thinking if something scratches the bike so bad the sticker is peeled, protective film isn't going to do much - but then again, I know nothing so please enlighten me

And if the sticker is small is it worth it ? It would make sense if you cover the whole bike with a sticker design, but not small sticker, would it ?

 Good Qns, my stand would be that I do not need to maintain the stickers after placing the protective firm on it, cos stickers looses it's adhesion over time due to Weather changes.

Other than that we could protect our layer of beautiful paint we have on our Ride, cos when riding anywhere sand, rocks or even glass from accidents can shoot towards your ride and create scratches and dents. Race Shield could do some protection be not all.

No not yet, didn't have the time to go there - I need to first call the shop see if they have any left in stock, don;t want to go for nothing. Maybe I'll go tomorrow at lunch. I also need iridium spark plugs and I need to wrap my head around the sprocket size thing, to decide if I want to change my sprocket size and tires or not, before I buy the sinnob..:confused:

Protection of the paint by a film makes sense, but is this film easy to maintain ? Or is it itself going to unstick itself and peel off after time...

what he meant by melting was the reflector we have in the headlight casing.. too high powered, the heat from the bulb will melt your headlight reflector.. i seen it in his case.. quite bad.. not melting other stuff.. no doubt we can put a stronger bulb but our reflector not meant for such usage.. unless we can change the reflector..

for sprocket size.. i'm sure mj told me they only offer the sprocket size in the stocks sizes if i'm not wrong.. so if you haven changed anitin yet, the sprocket size from sinnob shld be your stock size.. referring to cookie, his sprocs and gears was used for about 24K km before changing.. so... you can keep it first.. no harm.. ha..

More information for Earth Iginition:http://pivotjp.com/product/flame-ignitionearth-e.html

The product is more for pick up, which I have tested and it's proven can meet up to let u try my ride, but please be gentle with Red Wolf . Brother MJ and HVC tired my bike this morning. After installing these accessories my Red Wolf felt like a Class 2A's pick up, smooth and effective.

Other Forum and the maker from Japan claim the it will also save fuel and enhance your electrical when in use of both Spark Earth and Iginition Earth Cable.

http://pivotjp.com/product/flame-raizin-e.html

Will update this forum when I refill my tank to see any improvement, my riding style this few tank fill up gives me only 33km to max 35km/l. That's about it for now.

hullo hullo everybody. for those who have been keeping track of the speedo colour change thread. it's actually me!

anyway to update the interested pulsarians, I've cracked open the meter of a digital one and have discovered that the electoronics involved are hugely different from that used on Jap bikes. It's been the same so far for the R15(made in india), gilera runner(suspected parts made in india).

While I won't say that it's impossible to be done, it is going to take quite a long time to reverse engineer the circuitry. On a timescale of weeks. Also, the components will be more costly as compared to the ones used on Jap bikes. I've emailed a supplier and as yet have confirmed that he *may* be able to make a production run on white/blue, but other colours are not available.

I'll let ya'll know here as and when the project is completed.

ride safe ya'll!

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

while considering if i should go for sinnob

i read through some of the older posts on sinnob

and MJ did say that for P200 there is only 1 size for the sprocs

while for P180 we can have the different sizes cos P180 is more popular in indo...
