My bike is still all shiny from the grooming she got at JB :lovestruck:

MJ, at UM they gave a belly pan thingy from you, thanks a lot, I'm gonna practice my spray paint skills on it this WE and see if I can have it installed :)

Last Sat I went to UM to change my rectifier and install my front/rear fenders. The bike looks better and better every week

hmmmmmm ... maybe too I saw your bike since you mentioned the mech doing your bike hahaha ..

sorry did not know that was you .. or at least you should approach and talk to me lah ... hmmm cos I very shy person to approach people first heheheh not like O'Ren especially and others here hahahaha

anyway happens you go UM tomorrow, when jimmy or chris approach you to take down your name and phone, tell them die die you want Ah Teck or Ah Long do for your bike .. but happens both of them are very busy, either you wait or let Jackie or Ah Wai do your bike.

It is easy to know them by looking at the work place.

Ah Long is on the front left working, normally working the bike on the hydrulic platform.

Similar with Jackie on the inside left where the hydrulic platform too.

Ah Wai is very tall slightly slim build working on the inside right .

And Ah Teck is the shortest guy and working on the front right near the entrance.. happens if you saw my bike earliear .

Besides these 4 regulars UM mech, the rest are additional mechs from UM's big shot brother Micheal shop happens if the place are very busy or they are off for their lunch or coffee break

Trust me ... when ever you go UM, be a little bit patience when you are there, your patience will have your bike in good hands from the 4 regular mechs.

haha .. I don't get any commission here but after 2 years plus at UM and have experienced with most mechs there ... the 4 mentioned I have no regrets letting their hands on my bike.

And since I do always brought aftermarkets accessories for my bike there, I found that Ah Teck is the most handy person no doubt the rest are good too.

Just my share with you but still it's up to personal preference ... but what ever just make sure these 4 mechs do your bike!!!

The mech that changing my sprocket is who?? jackie? think got a ear stub and quite skinny. I can see he is very careful when changing my sprocket. Change many time with lots of slight adjustment made to make sure the bike is safe for ride.. Seldom see this type of attitude from other bike shop

Yalor no IU. The mechanic also don't know whether is speedo spoil or speed sensor spoil.

I got the bike for $1800. I guess you really get what you pay for. Hahaha.

But i can say for UG 3 1800 is dirt cheap for the age and mileage... i got mine 1 month before you for 2.4k, mileage 63k. worst of all >> got drop before and head light got obvious scratches. Now still wonder why i get it?? maybe i thought is a steal and just sold my S4 and eager to get a bike as w/o bike is very inconvenience for me..... Lastly you got additional 600 bucks more to touch up your bike.. i think i more on the downside....

NoFish and O'Ren > ... I updated your stuff on the list. Thank you!

Kenshin > ... your mech the other day is Ah Wai. He has to do your bike near Ah Long place cos his actual place have 1 bike on standby waiting for spare parts. He did yours first after taking his break to clear the long queue. Although I think his first time doing Sinnob, but Ah Long is next to him telling him what needs to modify since Ah Long, Jackie and Ah Teck were most familiar with Sinnob installation.

No need to regret lah about the price of your bike .... what ever you spent on your bike now or future, your bike will serve you well as long as you take care of your bike.

It happens to few of the brothers here especially Speedaddict but now he is happy with his UG2.

Btw ..

the stock rubber coupling damper cost you $10 at UM, the heavyduty aftermarket almost same price but have a longer lifespan and better performance.

All most cosmetic around or less than $100 plus shipping, the only save is the transfers money which cost $12 for each transfers. The more people in the MO, the less amount you are paying for the transfers..

S4 hugger and belly pan around $90 at HKL while at Ah Boy RXZ bellypan is cheaper but when installed all the brackets can be seen and color no choice.

As for the custom made from Indonesia, all made for Pulsar ... swee swee, cuc cun fit nicely on the bike and all brackets hidden and can choose colour.. hehehe

Those who have installed the items or have seen my Ride can proof this facts.

Hi Guys,

I am planning to go to JB around 5 pm to fuel up and also visit Ah gua lane for 1st time to do EO change.

Is Heng motors(Ah Heng's workshop) in Ah Gua lane? If it is, then I may visit it. Can you give me the directions? Does he stock other branded EO like Motul/Maxima what are the prices there?

Hey, don't go around telling people to do illegal stuff oh ! :gun::gun:

You're lucky you're too big and too scary for me, otherwise I'd knock your head ! :p

How are you, recovered fully ? How's your bike ? Heard you had some electrical issues recently, all fixed ?

I think that's Ah Wai.

Honestly for me, I usually talk more to Ah Tek or Ah Long but only because they are less shy. But I think Jacky also does great work, and Ah Wai too, Ah Wai is very very detail driven, he always pays attention to everything and takes a lot of time to make sure he covers everything, so I agree it';s nice.

All in all, I think all of them learn from each other and even if some are less talkative, they all share the same customer service attitude, they will never let you go with a half-done bike or they will never try to carrot you on time or attention. They will always present you with all options and you choose which one, they recommend the safety ones and you decide.

Hmmm.. what happen to your bike for you to make decision on overhaul??

MJ, when we need to overhaul bike?? when hit 100k km or will never happen if take good care of the bike?

It really depends on the previous owner. If the previous owner took care of it and you do too, then you'll never overhaul. Overhaul becomes necessary for mainly two reasons: 1. poor bike maintenance(servicing isnt done on time, or bike rider is only whacking all the time not caring about how our bikes should be used) 2. very long/intensive usage - for example Gaban here, he uses his Pulsar to tour a lot. and I mean A LOT. so after a while, it might be that something just gives up and he needs to overhaul - or maybe it was a combination of missing some maintenance bits + intensive use, he can tell you better than me.

Bottom line is, if you use it normally, if you do the servicing when needed and you take care of it (wash it regularly, once a month is good (this does not only help with avoiding debris and dust going places you don't want them, but it also makes you enjoy your bike much more after you spent energy washing and waxing it hehe), oil the chain every 300km or so, keep an eye on your oil level, give time to the bike in the morning to warm up, don't turn it on and go whack on CTE, don't be aggressive in your gear shifting or pick up etc..), then the bike will never need overhauling and you'll be able after 2-3 years of daily use to show a bike that's as new as a brand new one (see MJ's bike vs my bike, years between the two and his looks like it's "younger" than mine!)

Manick > .... Ah Boy selling the handle brace at $10 ... speed bought his there but install at UM I think. The brace is cheap so don't complain about whether is good or practical or not hehehehe

there are also expensive one around $60 - $90 at Unique and MotoWorld ... good or bad, worth the money or not ... one has to sacrifies to know and feel hahahahhahaha .... mine the expensive one at Motoworld hehehehhehe ... and oh the blue foam that Speed used is not inclusive cos that's mine hahahahha , from my exercise equipments that not in used anymore ... hehehehe.

O'Ren > ... the S4 belly pan I have no idea who gave it to you hehehe cos yesterday Ah Teck asked me whether I want to sell or not but I told him you took already hehehehe .. but no worries lah just take it cos it's mine anyway and have fun spraying paint on it .... oh btw .. hows your discbrake project? .... heheheheh.

Kenshin > ... I bought the IU cover at the seat wrap shop just beside Ah Boy .. at that time $12 i think. But I not sure lah whether it can reduce that sound on your IU .... hehehe but honestly since I covered it from day 1 I bought my bike, my IU condition looks like new till now heheehhehehe

And abt overhauled thingy .. hey I'm no experts here ley .... I oso don't know lah .... once there got 1 guy a freind of my brother riding R1, he talk like very good all know one, then pointing at my bike as said loudly .. " öh this bajaj most I give 2 years and the engine will breakdown" .. and said to me again "if I can get the whole engine from India, its cheaper than 'buying it in S'pore" ... i look at him and smile.

Truely imho, there is no such word as last for ever one ... and after that incident, it makes me wonder most, why people have the rights to point and say oh this bike cannot last ...

so looking and getting somew answers from the mech at UM, my verdict back to one who handle it..... it's the RIDER attitude!!!!

So bro, what I can do for you is just to have you read the manual again and do what's necessary for your own good Ride. Happy reading!

Reasons also why I keep searching around items and accessories what's best or can maintain our bike performance as long as it can hold or take and share here with you guys ..... CHEERS!!
