Yeah like Alvin said, be careful cause once the gauge will drop, it will drop quickly and might drop several bars at once.

You can wait for the red light to light up but it will make you nervous as you won't know exactly how much is left. My advice is be ready to top up as soon as the red light goes off so that if you need to go a long distance to top up you're still safe with the reserve.

Is it safe to ride with the red light on? Mine is lit up almost all the time and I just ignore it now.

The meter is totally bonkers. The fuel gauge can go down to 2 bars right after I ride out of the petrol kiosk after topping up a full tank.

Just got a pair of S4 mirrors from LAB. Cost me $22 inclusive of installation at their workshop.

I had to follow their despatch to the workshop tho and that was quite a ride...

actually you can install it yourself

just need the correct size wrench

the red light is an indication that your main tank is low on fuel

and the red light will blink if your rpm is above the redline zone ie. 9k

seems like your low fuel sensor is bonkers

it is ok to ride with it on

unless you want to get it fix at UM

if not its ok

just calculate by your mileage

Today I noticed that my handle bar moves too freely, that is, even while riding, with very little effort, if I try to shake the handle bar right-left it moves very easily and the front tyre too moves accordingly.

I was wondering if it is normal? I just feel slightly unstable if the handle bar is so free, I feel it should have been more heavier and more effort should go to move the handlebar and then I would feel more stable. What do you guys think? Is it normal or do I need to get the steering cone adjusted or something?

go down any workshop tell them tighten a bit. could be the nuts losen after a while. if still cannot then ur cone spoilt. i think it cost $70 to chg the cone at UM.

how come i never get double post. i think u guys impatient and click the reply again when it becomes unresponsive.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Hey, can test and feedback? I am looking for mirrors with least vibration - still wondering whether to go for stock mirrors or something else.

The S4 mirrors were clear up to about 80km/h. Did not go any faster than that when riding back from LAB so I can't say how it is at 90km/h and above.

I think you have to re-thread the right side mirror because the threads run in the opposite direction. Then it becomes too tight to screw in totally so the right side mirror is abit taller than the left mirror.

fyi I went to UM just now and have my cone bearing replaced ... Brandon, Husher and Ibrahim (blue red bull) was there too.

here are the breakdown

My first cone bearing replaced after 2 years 2 months of enduring ... better safe than sorry.

1: steering cone set = $33 o_O

2: ball bearing 1 set of 39pcs (top 19pcs below 20pcs) = $4 o_O

3: labour charge = $25 :faint:

Total: $62  :faint:

For just the cone bearing to get replace and if you wanna do DIY ... hmm better think twice ... :cheeky:

Oh actually went there for normal servicing only and to have Ah Teck check on my handling, it's quite tight and rough while taking corners.

Last time when Ah Heng was around, he did adjust my steering and did informed me of the cone bearing need to replace when times come.

So at UM do $6 basic servicing and change of EO (own EO mobil1 FS 10W40 bought at AhBoy) after 4500km usage ... see below of the M1FS eo quality .. less bubbles and less greyish particles seen with texture color not not so thick and blackish ...

and oh since I have my DIY oiler .. Ah Teck did not oil my chain as it was not necessary to .. hehehe

Oh .. later I will post on my new DIY oiler v3 like Alvin one but my version lah ... heheheeh :shy:  :thumb:

Bro MJ, yeah its good if the mech can identify issues quite early then its safe and peace of mind for us also. We travel at 100 kms/hr on highways so it is absolutely necessary that our bikes are in top condition. I will take my bike to UM and get it checked.
