For the EO, I only bought 2 bottles as I wasn't sure it was the right one, so I can return them if needed.

Next time i'll try to get $15 price and buy 4 ! :D

Welcome to the knee guard clan ! Very happy to hear that, I hope you never have to use it, but if you do, then it's good to have ! I am now considering switching my knee guard for armored pants. Because I don't use the knee guard to go to work as it's a very short trip without highway. So basically I only use knee guard when long rides in SG or when going to MY. In those cases, I can wear whatever I want doesn't have to be work clothes so maybe I'll switch to armored pants if I find nice ones, so that my butt and sides are protected too :cheeky:

At first I thought armored pants would be too hot and not so nice but I've seen great Komine ones, and if one can wear jeans in this weather to ride I think armored mesh pants are even better. Even if not mesh they will protect me from the cold too - a lot of the MY trips happen at night when I find that it can be very cold..

If any of you uses armored pants, please share with me your experience and advices ! :thumb:

Talk about guards, I bot these arms n knee pads whole set in KL for rm60.

Although manual say 5k, Most of experts believe that for bikes like ours which dont have oil filter you have to change every 2.5k kms because there will be metal particles suspended in the oil. For bikes that have oil filter like super 4, you can use Fully synthetic EO for even 5k kms easily.

Yes I tried testing the riding pants without ride before at motoworld lavender, the riding pants are quite comfortable and felt more secured.

Quite hot initially when you are not riding but once you are on the ride I believe the comfort will be there.

Anyway I did not purchase it since i'm not travelling long distance often and to wear the pants on short trip, I think the problems lies on the storage as the pants are quite bulky to fold unless you want to wear the pants the whole day lah... hehe

Reason why I opt for the knee and shin guard for now as it's more easiear to wear it to and fro even for a short trip.

Easy to wear and remove and storage not that bulky too.

I've used the hidden small knee guard before during the last Pontian trip. The cons for this inner knee guard bought at armoured rain gear is the padding and strap. No doubt is small but the way to wear and remove it and the quality of pad is not so comfortable espacially when walk around.

Yesterday I did test the long knee and shin guard and I felt it quite comfortable espacially on the padding and the strap too. Feel more secured during ride.

And yet no one noticed it since I wore it on the inside of my Rs Taichi rain pants ... heheh

All protector gears have pros and cons too. It is up to the rider to opt what's best suits for his/her ride.

Objective is to have the minimal at least for one safety in case of any accidents during ride.

Do remember, All Protective gears does not mean you are totally zero injury but the least it protec to a minimal from a worst scenario.

So Safe Ride always ... heheheeh

Has anyone ever tried fitting these handlebar grips on Pulsar bikes?

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/300064-lt-CMO-gt-Mirrors-amp-Handlebar-Grips

Thinking of getting the Brembo replica but worried that it won't fit.

but need to sand down a bit on the throttle side for the grip to fit in

Actually it protects from what needs more protection: the skin and the bones. Lutein (forum user) had an incident with her Ducati at 70km/h on wet road. Just a bad fall due to the road being wet I suppose. Anyway, she posted pictures: she was wearing noirmal work pants, they got completely torn at the knees. But she was wearing an armored riding jacket and she didnt get any injury in her elbows and arms, although the jacket shows clear abrasion marks and damage. But it fully protected her, and the jacket is still reusable.

So for me, it's a no brainer: yes it doesn't protect you 200% but it does exactly the job you want it to do, and without it, say bye bye to your skin and hello to your flesh and bones playing outdoor activities !

For the comfort of knee+shin guard , it's amazing. Me I now forget that I'm wearing it. I go back home, take out my shoes, go to the kitchen to drink then realize I still have them on :cheeky: and yeah they're very comfortable to ride too and easy to take off/on. I agree the pants are better for a keep-on-all-day solution. So for WEs or long trips.
