Dats a fact. I would call it ‘OPERATION YEAR END BONUS” for the summoners. I found lots of TPs here n there now. Not only TPs, those who work as sommuners like NEA, AETOS etc….. are in full operation right now.

 

wah... lucky I've quited this kind of job.. if not you all are labelling me with "macam2" hahahahah....

 

then for them to sit idling one corner also got people labelling them ... "lazy bumbs makan gaji buta" ... wkwkwkwkwkw

to do summons is their rice and bowl mah ... if they don't give the offender a ticket then they too will get a ticket .. aiyoooohhhhh!!!!

i've been fined by lta for enterin the red bus lane during peak hours. wad was i suppose to do..had to pickup my gf at e bustop and there was nowhere else to pick her up from. feel like slappin e lta enforcement office who snapped me wif his camera. nt as if i was obstructin any buses..im juz a bike..nt a big truck

 

i had once kena candid camera, however i wasnt picking up someone, had to overtake the front bike as he stopped btw lane n in the mid of cars. however the officer wasn't camming me, there was a pickup behind driving all the way in the lane, then i never got a letter also.

 

if u're appealing to pick someone up, u can forget about using the reason. even taxi arn't suppose to pick/drop passengers in that zone, n a lot kena b4, trust me. if he never saw u picking up ppl, then can make up some excuse like u feel giddy n had to stop.

I heard recently that Traffic Police passed on some responsibilities to LTA so that they can focus more on DUI and speeding vehicles. Even I noticed yesterday TP stopping 2 motorbikes around Serangoon Avenue 2. I just checked my helmet and lights, looked the other way and moved on. Time to be careful.

 

Btw, I have blue pilot lights and blue lights under my seat. Are those illegal? Does anyone know whether TP can stop me/fine me for that?

yes, any coloured lights and additional lights are illegal. they can be installed, but not on while riding. tp can stop n fine u if u're riding with those lights. but sometime they give u chance if u dont make until so fancyful. under belly lights are esp a fav catch of tp, just becareful.

Guys, I'm reading about additional lights and found some interesting articles. This is one of them :

Gives you an idea of the different options available. I'm still researching what type of lights our bike can handle without putting too much pressurs on the battery.

What sense does this make. How are my tiny little blue pilot lights hurting anyone. It's not like they reflect in people's rear-view mirror and distract other road users. And they are bright enough and can not amount to dangerous riding with not enough lighting.

any coloured lights other than yellow-white for main, red for tail/brake, orange for signal is a distraction to other road users. the road dont belong to you, imagine other drivers see ur vehicle staring: wow so nice, next thing, bang. how would u want that?

 

however tp r also human, as long u dont make it like lights everywhere, u ride safely and properly, tp wont disturb u. it's not u can't, just dont make it to attract attention; i myself have some small led also. and if u're caught, just pled guilty and ask to give chance. most of the time they give chance if u're a good boy.

 

ps u cannot on those lights when going for inspection. i met someone who failed on coloured led pilot lights, so it's up to u.
