i'm gng to order my GPS soon, seems like IT fair no gd offer, the only gd offer already sold out.

 

I'm not sure whether any of you guys are still interested, so pls confirm with me within the next 3 days. must fast fast, the exchange rate getting unfavourable liao

 

GPS only has max 32 satelites orbiting the earth. At any one time if the signal input is false, all your other info is also false.

 

God gives you a better GPS, its call the stars Try using the conventional map first lah. I am sure a better deal will come in due time. Dont have to rush rush to get wan.

i'm a bit more anxious cause this has been pending for quite some time liao and yet no one respond. at least give me a yes or no at least to indicate mah, if not i blur blur wait at there.

 

PS: sorry, not really interested to use stars for navigation. if the sky is cloudy tht day then steady liao, no stars to guide u and i can only use this God given GPS at nite only. jus jking ah, no offense

You sure if its cloudy your GPS fix is accurate? There's a saying "if u can afford it, get it. No point waiting and risk loosing it. That is if you don't want to risk it"

yr hp is pda type window mobile? why not install "garmin mobile xt" instead & you can access FOC maps worldwide? if pda dun hv GPS chip, then buying a bluetooth gps sensor is also cheaper.

its very slow. the PDA needs to run other applications compared to the GPS unit which runs only the navi software.

 

the GPS unit also gets a fix faster than pda.

 

anyway, i was using my pda as GPS lah

actually the reason was to consolidate orders so can save on shipping cost.

 

dnt really have better deals lah, seems tht prices are almost the same even aft a period of time

Last Sunday afternoon, I received a call from a Malaysian colleague who said

that he wanted to bring me to an exclusive underground club in JB. So I

arranged to meet him at City Square in JB at 5.00pm. When I reached JB City

Sq at around 5.15pm, I called my friend and he told me that he will be

slightly late. So I decided to go to the MacDonalds near to the entrance at

city square to wait for him. I ordered a kiddy meal, as i was expecting to

have dinner with my colleague later, which came with a free toy. After

ordering my food, I found a seat at the corner of MacDonalds. It was a

corner four seater table next to a wall. So I sat next to the wall and after

finishing my food, I took a look at the toy. Then a skinny rugged looking

man came over and sat right next to me. The conversation was as follows:

 

>Man: Are you a Malaysian?

>Me: Why? (Sensing something is strange with this question)

>Man: Just answer me.

>Me: Pretending to be Malaysian. Yes I am Malaysian.

>Man: So are you from Penang?

>Me: No why?

>Man: Doesn’t matter where you are from, we are all Chinese. Can you 'lend'

me $50?

>Me: I got no money to lend you.

>Man: Don’t lie, I can see your wallet in your pockets. (as I always put my

wallet in my front pocket whenever I go overseas.)

 

He then reached to his back pocket and took out a small fruit knife and

pointed the knife next to my tummy. **** at that instant I knew it was

daylight robbery at MacDonalds. I was in shocked and I looked at him again.

I was trapped as I am cornered (I was sitting next to a wall) and the only

route to escape was the seat which was occupied by him now.

 

>Man: Don’t force me. I am really desperate now. Don’t force me. I am not

asking a lot from you only $50.

>Me: $ 50 only?

>Man : Yes.

 

Fearing for my own safety, I took out my wallet and gave him $50. However he

wasn’t pleased with the $50 and asked for another $5 ringgit to make a phone

call back home from me, I thought to myself, what the f*ck since kena robbed

$50 liao what is another $5? So I gave him another $5. He took the money

happily and 'thanked' me before walking off. I tried to chase him but he

quickly walked to the exit next to the MacDonalds and made a quick run. I

decided not to chase him further when he left City Square as I was worried

about my own safety and also I was already in a state of shock and do not

really know how to react. What pissed me off was at the MacDonalds, there

was a Malay family with kids was sitting next to me and a staff who was

cleaning had possibly seen the whole incident and yet nobody was willing to

help me. After a short while I called my colleague and told him what

happened and cancelled our planned trip and headed back to Singapore. I did

not make a police report as I thought it was too troublesome to do so. This

will be the last time that i will ever go to Malaysia alone again. I don’t

think it is safe even at broad daylight anywhere in JB. On the way back I

was really feeling very down as I was looking forward to a great time and

instead I had to head home disappointed with a state of shock and $50

ringgit poorer

 

Description of the man who robbed me. Height: about 168, Weight: 50+ (very

skinny), Race: Chinese, Skin: dark tanned, Hair style: short but a little

curly. He looked like a drug addict, wearing T-shirt and jeans. He hid his

little knife in newspaper wrapping at his back pocket.

how come so 'suay' wan ah ? my only bad experience in malaysia is 'flying' on the highway while participating in a national statistic for accidents

 

Seriously, sometimes it also depends on the rider. And in this case, the victim. I noticed alot of these 'complainants' has lack of public awareness especially when going to the money changer, buying stuff or even social etiqutte. A direct translation of a hokkien phrase "Even the ghosts also know these folks are not local".

 

My last accident on the highway, it was actually the Cub Kias that stopped the traffic for me and some helped me to push my bike to the side. The car drivers all bo chap or bo chee. The superbikers all wheezing through macam like there is no tomorrow.

Backed from City square Optimax eye check up.

Praise God my cornea is thick enof to do e normal lasik.

Every eye check machine n reports r similar to sgp except there is no sales consultant to even talk or push u for eye op. though they did merely asked y dun i opt for the blade-free op.

 

The price difference really is not much, most people of cos do not wan to risk their only pair of eyes n only wants e best however blade-free op is really best for those corneas tat r too thin as i feel it still carry certain side effects den e normal lasik.

 

Alan used 4 locks onto his bike, half way even went down have a look *ke ke* praise god of cos nothing happened but was surprised parking fee was 12RM for jus 4 hours~~

 

Many of my malaysian fres do say JB is dangerous as many drug addicts can b desperate 4 $.. they even parked their cars near sgp custom n walk to city square~~ (n only city square they go)

 

Best is dun travel alone as appears more to be easy target. I Ooways wear plainly to avoid attention.

 

Besides tat, I think JB is a great place for petrol, secret recipe cheese cakes, jap. mei shao nu magazines.. ke ke..n oh ya Lasik ...

OMG !! I will keep watch out on tt robber man !! I am frequent goer to jb. I am with a group of hearing impaired friends. I will let them know abt this case... If we c tt robber man, we will be going to whack him up and report him to police. Best way for him to stay in jail and learn his lesson !!
