The Holy Bible is God's breathed, 2 Timothy reads "and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

 

Even if you can go through the Holy Bible in one day and learn nothing from it about our Lord Jesus, its nothing but vanity. Good for show, but not for the Inner man.

 

The direction of the fellowship should be to learn more about Jesus and His magnificence, written in all forms in these chapters. Not to rush it through as if it is some homework for academic dissertation.

Pastor Moses is under the impression that if he just shares enough of his own life experiences with his congregation then their whole lives will be changed. John simply wants his pastor to preach about the reality of the the finished work of Jesus.

 

Pastor Moses, the people don’t need to hear about your life, they need to hear about The Life!
