since God created the Heaven and Earth and everything in it.

 

Was the Leviathan created by God ?

 

Adam live till 930 yrs,

Noah live till 950 yrs ??

The Julian calendar did not exist till sometime ard 45 BC. And the measurement of hours and minute did not come into existence until 1st century ?? (correct me if I am wrong)

 

So if we are to base on what the Scientist says (which half the time they themselves are correcting each other), then this question will never end. So if we ask questions like "Did God create dinosaurs?", then how about "is Jesus really God incarnate?"

 

i agree with Edward, no doctrines pls. If really want to learn, go back to your own church and ask the pastor. We are not here to see who can give the best answers, neither are we here to say which church is the best, especialy when we come with a rhetorical question. We are here to glorify Jesus and His wondrous work.

There is significance when the word appears for the 1st time in the bible.

Job 11:4 (King James Version)

For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean (H1249) in thine eyes.

 

H1249 בַּר bar (bar) adj.

1. beloved

2. also pure, empty

 

Hence doctrine in my opinion … should be teaching that teaches that we are beloved in God’s eyes.

 

Doctrine = teaching that teaches that we are beloved in God’s eyes.

Which to me is translated as Pure Grace.

When our friends heard about the news about Jack Neo, esp after they know JN is a christian....

 

Did they choose not to believe a Christian can do such a thing because they know you as a Christian? or

They choose to believe Jack can/will do such thing, also because they know you in person as a Christian.

If one is unable to submit oneself under the feeding of a church, instead is hopping here and there or worst still doesn't attend even one regularly, then it is as good as dating a church. One should not be 'church shopping', as to test and try as if trying a new sets of clothings in a departmental store.

 

Going to church only make one a church goer, just as going to Mcdonald make ones a customer. Signing on and making the church a home church only makes one a Christian. Believing in the finished work of Jesus Christ and trusting on Him in all areas of their lives makes one a Believer.

Am studying Corinthian 1 & 2..as i m close to LR, these points keep popping up n up from the verses..

1. Christians unite

2. Do not form cliques

3. Do not place faith/hope on men but God.

4. Settle disagreement properly

 

Looking around, my faith is low and i am not ready to go back to church to get myself disappointed again..

I wonder if JN really chance upon this site, and find out so many people here trying to use his issue to show each other our own view of how God see/deal with his problem...i guess he will crack and make his day lighter...

 

Who are we exactly? who r we to JN exactly? who are we to each other here exactly?

We have talked so much on forum when we don't manage to build each others up from what we talk(talk, not shared)

 

Don't we all notice, when we jump in here to talk, we are being 'seen' more like arguing with each other with verses, than, to encourage each other out of a bad situation? I personally feel sad to see all these exchange. Though i know all our intent are good, but these just didn't serve what we originally intended at all...

Hence.... no doctrine discussions or biblical interpretation is encouraged. Let one's fruit and light be shone to the rest for all to see.

Good point there, but this actually comes right after verses 29-30, which goes

 

He answered and said, 'I will not,' but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, 'I go, sir,' but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said to Him, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

 

the message is saying 'these' as in reference to the first, which shows his 'repentance' or in layman termed 'he changed his mind and instead of doing his what he likes, he does what the father ask him to do'. Likewise, we ought to listen to the Holy Spirit, but how many are actually doing it only God knows.

 

verse 32 confirms this ---> For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.
