i think i can relate to a story i heard of.

 

say one day, you walked into an ice cream store, you saw this little boy beside you wanting the ice cream you are getting.. been a kind n nice person, you brought e little boy a scoop of ice cream. Just as the little boy push open the door to leave, he dropped his scoop of ice cream. He cried.

 

e little boy came to you again, this time round he saw this poster with thriple scoops. A nice person you are, would you get him the thriple scoops if he could not handle one scoop.

 

How much more is our lovingly heavenly father is..

I thought maybe we can create a yahoo group for light riders, for emailing announcements or bible study topics for those who were not there or did not share etc.

 

I also thought of maybe we can create a group in facebook because i met joelin there, and maybe we can get to know more interested people from there.

 

Anyway I enjoyed the bible study and fellowship last week : )

tt6389, not contridicting you here. But for us mortal man never allow sin to have a small foothold in your heart is impossible. Because of Adam's fall, we will always fall into sin. Jesus does'nt want us to be sin-conscious, but righteousness conscious. That's why he told us to 'seek ye first the kingdom of God and HIS (daddy God's) righteousness, and all these things (that we desire) will be added unto you.'

 

If man is able to never allow sin to have a small foothold in your heart, man is perfect and Jesus would'nt have to come. But Jesus came for sinful man, that's why we take on his robes of righteousness and he takes our dirty, robes of filthy sin. That through Jesus sacrifice, we are blessed in every way.

 

In the gospels, Jesus never told those who came to him, "sin no more, then your sins are forgiven". He told them, "your sins are forgiven, sin no more". Man has been sin-concious after Adam fell, we're concious of dust, and dust is the devil's food. Because the snake was cursed to eat dust on it's belly.

 

There's 2 sayings that have been widely accepted by many Christians:

1. God those who help themselves

2. What would Jesus do?

 

1. God helps those who CANNOT help themselves. If we could save ourselves, would Jesus need to come? Because we are unable to help ourselves, Jesus is here as our saviour, to be our redeemer from the curse of sin and in every situation

 

2. By asking ourselves what would Jesus do, we become self-concious and through our own mortal understanding, act our what we think Jesus would do.

 

Jesus wants us to see what he does, and be holy spirit-led. That's what the holy spirit is here for, to be our guide, helper and point us to Jesus

 

When Jesus is our focus, all will fall into place.

I know I am a hopeless sinner but I also know that by His grace I am saved.

 

Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Eph 2:9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

 

We aim to live our lives as He would have us live in response to this great gift of salvation through His Son - not to earn the slavation.

 

Worth repeating

God give you wealth just take lah. I've seen a lot of christians and catholics who say that they must lead a poor life and suffer in order to appreciate what God and Jesus has done for us. Come on leh, if you have a kid, you want your kid to suffer meh? No logic. God wants to give you wealth, just take only. He does not request much. Just visit him on Sundays and tithe. Spend quiet time with him when you can.

 

Regarding tithing, a lot of people think that it is donation to the church. But what they don't know is that you are tithing with your heart. Why would God care about your $100 or $200? His road tar is already made of Gold lor! LOL

 

And a lot of non-christians always condemn why christian churches so glam. If you want to know glam temples, go read up on Solomon. The temples he built for God far surpass any of the churches today.

Recently, some churches r preaching on prosperity gospels.... wif implied and wif almost certainty of well-beings in health and wealth if u hv d faith..

 

but i wonder...

 

Yes, its stated dat as Jesus is, so are we in tis world. ... and dat we are Heirs to d world....

 

But... note d word heirs... meaning we will in time , one day inherit the world... prob at the Second Coming.. when the lease of the earth by the devils is expired...

 

At the Cross, all d sins were redeemed for our sake... but it doesnt really mean all our credit card bills, all loong debts etc..

 

True... 'seek ye first the kingdom of God and God's righteousness, and all these things (that we desire) will be added unto you.'

 

it wld surely b added unto us... but its not necessarily during our short time on earth...

 

I thik we shdnt word it as such " Have faith in GOD and u will definitely be taken care of in health and wealth".. but rather"Have faith in GOD, and trust dat whether its wealth or no wealth, health or no health...HE is still our Loving Father and we HIS children.. jus like JOB..no matter whether he is a rich landlord or a ill health suffering pauper..his love for GOD and his faith in GOD matters d most...

Hi everyone,

just thot i share with you guys a worship leader that i've loved all this while.

 

His name is Ron Kenoly. Not only is he anointed but musically his stuff is just great.

 

i'm gng to paste some links here so that you guys can listen to some of his stuff.

 

He's a PHD holder in music, his band is made out of world class players (praise God for tht) and even his backup singers have to be minimum worship leaders back in their own church, many of them are actually worship directors and worship pastors.

jus to share something aft a wonderful time with the Lord this morning.

 

"Don't worry about anything; instead pray for everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him forall He has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human min can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 4:6 - 7

 

I thank God for this rhema word that He has given to me. Life isn't exactly smooth for me but His Word has come so timely has jumped right at my face.

 

1 thing i like to share with pple is that b4 we go to church or read the Word, pray to God and tell Him that you expect things to happen, be it a rhema Word, a gd worship session etc... as we come with a heart of expectation, God will fulfill.

 

so if you start to find church boring or seems like your quiet time is just so dry, then start coming with a heart of expectation. I know i do, tht's y God blessed me with such a wonderful quiet time 2day

 

ps: remember to do ur quiet time everyday hor, dnt be lazy. nothing can bring you nearer to God than reading and feeding on His Word, not even listening to pple's sharing or hearing sermons. nothing beats a personal encounter w/ God

Actually i wrote quite a long reply to your posting.... but decided not to.

 

But I encourage you not to push Jesus into the future for your health or your wealth.

 

As Jesus is in heaven....so am I in this world. I believe that i am still around and not raptured off to heaven yet.
