I use Caltex fuel as i got 14% discount coperate rate

I use caltex95.... so far i tried shell, esso and caltex... personal feeling caltex petrol is better. As for mileage is about the same...

 

Also dunno how to explain why i feel caltex petrol better? Maybe because they are the only petrol station that advertise with bike...LOL

do check ur manual regarding the range of octane level usable for the bike. it is stated clearly.

 

you got manual? can scan/attached cos my bike is 2nd hand and the seller do not have it. mine is vtec2.

Mine vtec 3,manual states that must use minimum 91...Vtec 2 and 3 i think almost same engine,just that the timing of the vtec is different. Using better/more expensive that needed petrol does'nt mean that you bike's engine will last longer.

 

Lubrication of the cylinder walls is mostly done by the engine oil,but only a fraction is done on the upper cylinder wall by the fuel additives in the petrol.Btw,nowdays with technology so good,even some bike engine also comes with knock sensors.
