hardware shop will have it... or just use epoxy putty also can...

one part chip off, use epoxy putty, put over the part, make it to the shape you want, abit bigger, let it cure (set) then sand it down...

From then to now...

for fibreglass, you need to wet the fibre sheets with polyesther or epoxy resin.. make it wet wet... then put another layer to fiber, make it wet wet then voala... but on top of that need a layer of gelcoat...

Tips for fibreglass, its alot easier to cut when its wet with the resin... don't wait till its dry then try to sand down or cut...

FYI, modern small aeroplane wings are made of fibreglass so thats how strong it is when cured...

it really depends....if your resin mixture is wrong...u will not be able to make it strong. Your surface has to be roughen and very clean....or the resin will not stick...cutting it when it is dry is actually better as when its wet u will have resin all over ur hand. As for epoxy resin....dun bother...I tried before before i learnt fibre glassing. I will not hold....it will just split again in time...

Tip...Use gloves and mask. Fibre glass will enter ur skin making ur hands very itchy. Breathing in the residue is as good as killing urself. It will never dissolve in ur lungs. Hope my input is of use.

fibre glass is nonrespirable... you can't breathe it in... according to something i read online... but the way i see it fly when i was doing something a few weeks ago, i think they might need to change that statement... lol...

epoxy putty works know... really... i use it at work... but you cannot use it in thin layers... you must make it like a lump of stuff then it will hold...

gelcoat is the thing you use in thin layers...

From then to now...

i had the impression that fibreglass splinters when breathe in will cause lung damage due to abrasion?

i remember reading something abt fibreglass workers in the early days. when they took a xray, part of the lungs showed nothing.

well, there is a fibreglass factory just opposite my office. i see them wearing special masks all day long.

fact or myth, u decide yourself but be careful la.

Mannu: Since your dad is quite keen on you getting a brand new Mito, try to go with that. If I remember correctly, Minerva offers a 3-year warranty on the bike, labour costs are chargeable though. Better still, call them up to confirm! It ain't difficult =). And I hope many Mito riders will be there...it'll be like the addition of another family member (sounds a bit like Mafia eh? heh). Make it a ceremony or something.

Amjah's my name lah not some random word. By the way i have been riding my mito for 5 plus years now already got my class 2. the arrow is so that i can fully change my bike for one sole purpose trakday toy. its cheaper to play around with a class 2b bike than a class 2 bike.

Mannu: Ooh I see. Sorry I misunderstood. If I were you, I wouldn't buy from Excel. Wouldn't mince my words on that. If I'm not wrong, there's a Mito at FM now in some unique green paint. Can't remember the plate, but it's the 7 gear version. Condition is average but I'm sure FM will have it done up before putting it up for sale. Since you seem really keen on a Mito, relax and pick the best one you can find. :thumb:
